M-Tron MT Rover
A multi-tasks rover designed in the M-Tron theme.
About this creation

This rover was originally designed at the beginning of the war between the Federation and the M-Tronians. M-Tron military tacticians thought that, by using some of the strike and hide tactics originally used by Blacktron, they would stand a better chance against the vastly superior fleet of the Federation. Hence why they needed a rover small enough to be un-detected but capable of launching weapons of mass destruction. But the war was over pretty quickly, and the rover never got to be produced.

Finding themselves in need of a new purpose in order to re-build their society, M-Tron officials decided to channel their ressources and energy into something they were good at, mainly, deep-space geological exploration and survey. To that purpose, M-Tron designers quickly adapted the design of their never-produced rover to be able to be fitted with numerous modules, enabling it to perform multiple tasks, hence the name MT Rover.

Build on a powerful engine and powered by the famous m-tronian magnet technology, the MT Rover is a one man small land exploration vehicle. The bubble-shaped windscreen is ideal to navigate through rough and uncharted terrain while the six hard-based wheels provided plenty of traction.

Since the MT Rover was originally designed to be a mobile weapons launcher, it was only natural that one of the first module produced was a rocket launcher. The famous m-tronian Javelin rocket, originally built to carry nuclear warheads to nearby planets, was quickly adapted to launch the new B. Spears deep-space probe.

The second module produced for the MT Rover was a tracking module. With its quadroscopic receiver, the Magna-Five radar-antenna is able to track small objects in deep-space – such as meteors, comets or small moons – and analyse their main mineral composition. It is also use to receive the data transmitted by different geological deep-space probes.

Since their missions push them further and further to the edge of charted and colonized space, the M-Tron space fleet quickly found themselves in need of temporary and mobile landing platforms for their operations. Given its engine, the m-tronians engineers quickly designed a mobile landing platform module for the MT Rover. In fact, the engine is so powerful that the MT Rover is capable of pulling its landing platform module along with a re-fitted Transport spacecraft on top.

Even though little in size, creation is great. 1:great bulky front part suits well for industrial and civillian-looking M:tron. Like CS, its vehicles are crude and non-agile looking form the pourpose. 2:lateral wall is plain with logo, which for me resembles rusty metal plate that I often see in industrial areas, which I think are great as background for M:tron. Playbility - so many modules and funcions :D even with spaceship launcher it looks stabile ... I hope to see more modular stuff from you :D

Thanks! That was what I was going for!
Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Nice multipurpose rover! Looks awesome with that windscreen, and the version with the trailer and the flyer is my personal favourite. Great work, M-Tron rocks!
Thanks Marc! Coming from you, it's quite a compliment!
Quoting JWG 258 Excellent model. any shots of the interior?
Well, it's a small rover, so there's not really that much space inside, but there is an interior shot in the set : http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=225929&id=/user_images/38406/1284474218m

Quoting Parrington Levens Fantastic presentation dude, and a neat little Moc! Very true to the theme...
Thanks mate! It's nice to see you move along in the MOC Olympics!
Quoting J0N0TR0N1C SYSTEMS Very nice. I love the modular designs. My fav is the landing/transport platform. Your solution to the octagonal front windscreen is quite clever.
Thanks! My first idea was to have that cockpit on top of the rover, but I quickly scrapped that idea and opted for this configuration which is better IMHO.

Quoting Yuri Fassio Cool, it has that nostalgic "could have been a set" feeling I love so much :)
Wow! Thank you so much Yuri! Getting such a comment from you is a real priviledge!

Bravo !
