continuing the CyberAgent themed walker support vehicles.
About this creation
Edit: From today I will be going back through ALL the CyberAgent designs to attempt to place some context to the larger story/time-line. This will include the following:
1. changing the titles to include an alpha numerical code for each design so that it can be placed in sequence of chronological position within the time-line. As yet I don't have specifics of this sequence finalised and as a result it could be subject to numerous revisions over the next week or so. One thing that is certain is that it will pre-fix the name of the model/series of models under each entry. The original CyberAgents will have CAU-AA for example, while the CyberAgentsKnights with be CAU-AB etc.
2. I will try to place a definitive date/era in which the sub-plot takes place. Since there is a side-story involving time travel and a retcon concerning the ProtoAgents, this could mean some later references have earlier dates (for example the Redux sub-plot takes place in the 21st century and part of the ProtoAgent plot is in the 20th).
3. CyberAgents and ShadowAgents will now be part of two separate folders, as will Aliens and Demons, but all are effectively CyberAgent Universe designs. From today the term CAU will be used to cover everything in these folders.
4. As much as possible I'm going to try and fill in some of the blanks. Many of the early designs are on other websites but were never uploaded here. (mostly lego.com) I'd like the full back catalogue (or at least images of each design) to appear here as well (if I can still locate a dowloadable file).
Note that any "updated" or "modernised" designs will be shown with their counterpart. This could mean some existing galleries will be revised.
CDW (Civil Defence Walker) 03 "Fido".
Developed from the basic Wolf (CDW02) frame the Fido was intended to be faster, larger and heavier armed. As a result the Civil Defence Unit came up with what could be considered the strangest addition to their Walker mech series.
Like its predecessor the 02, it requires a gunner and pilot, in fact for optimum effectiveness it actually needs 3 gunners.
Much faster and better armed than any previous vertical tank in its series, it is more than capable of taking on ground and air targets, has anti troop munitions and is much more stable using four limbs in place of the CDW01 and CDW02 preference for 2.
Fido is sometimes referred to as a Cerberus, due to its three main independently manned forward gun emplacements which are equated to the three heads of the mythical guardian of the underworld.
This started out as just a retooling of the CDW02 with new weapons. But the more I added the more forward heavy the results appeared. realising that for balance it just could not support 2 limbs I added a double chassis and duplicated the legs. The result is weirder than I had intended but retains the same basic look as the previous design.
