Space Police III Shuttlecraft
A small transport shuttle made in the colors of the Space Police III theme.
About this creation

When Embraer first revealed its new Pelican ES-32 shuttlecraft, the company thought that it would do well with the different divisions and independant systems of the Federation. Afterall, at the time, no other small transport of that size combined the roomy interior, the range and the speed of the Pelican.

Unfortunately for the company, the model wasn't very popular. Many divisions and most independant systems found that it lacked versatility, as it was unarmed, light armoured and could only carry passengers. A small number of units were ordered by some divisions and were used mostly as personal transports for VIPs, but not nearly as much as Embraer had hope for.

The only division of the Federation that did order a significant amount of units was the Space Police division who used them to transport their inspectors and detectives to the different colonies and bases of the Federation.

The Space Police version of the Shuttlecraft can carry three officers: one pilot and two passengers. It is equiped with an array of sophisticated tele-communication devices, enabling the passengers to have access to the Space Police network. That feature allows inspectors and detectives to work on the cases while travelling between locations.

Quoting J0N0TR0N1C SYSTEMS Sweet. I especially like the shape of the nose/canopy and the overall outline from the top view. Very creative. Some parts seem a little chunky or bulky, but overall it is a very attractive ship. Good colors, details and back-story!
Thanks! The front is also one of my favorite part. I wanted it very sleek, and the canopy fits that purpose perfectly. Given the differents comments I got so far, I do now think that the middle part might benefit from a little more work to make it less blocky. I might revisit that part in the future.
Quoting Yuri Fassio Very nice, but you forgot the green lasers... without them, it's more like a Futuron shuttle :)
Well, the whole project started with that front piece with the police logo, so I had to go with SP III as a theme. But after I finished taking pictures of it, I did think "It looks more like a Futuron set". Oh well... ;)

Quoting Marcus Forsberg Oh yeah! Excellently designed shuttle with a lot of features, right up my alley. And you did a great job on the main picture.
Thank you Marcus! Looking at your SP III MOCs, I take your comment as a great compliment!

Quoting Crimso Giger Sharp design, and roomy : a great combination ! Love the idea of an old-school Lego design for a 2010 theme. Nice job !
Thanks Crimso! What can I say? It seems that I'm an old-school type of guy, even with a modern theme!
Quoting andros tempest compared to the official sets it's pretty neat.
Thanks! I do own a couple of SP III sets, and I too find that they are lacking in many ways (number one being all those open cockpits and holes in what are supposedly spaceships).
