Ladder 31
About this creation

This morning Ladder 31 was handed over to the SVFD by Pierce.

It is a 1986 Mack CF 75' Aerial Scope.
And the former Ladder 13.
It was refurbished in 1999 and 2005 and now in 2010.

The cab was closed, a 500 GPM pump was added and the outriggers were changed for more stability.

Further it is equipped with all kinds of cutting tools, AED, ALS medical bag, Jaws of life, hurst tool and dual monitors in the bucket.

Furthermore it can be used for high/low angle rescues, collapses and all sorts of special rescues with Squad 31 and Rescue 5.

(thanks to Bruce B. for the scope design)

Quoting Thomas Johnson Nice. What was your old T31? Can you give a description.
Well, Ladder company 31 is founded in 2010, so its their first Truck. But before this the Town of Buddyburg had its own Fire Department since 1933, a single engine was stationed there, Engine 301. In 1979 a Rescue and a Ladder company were added, Rescue 302 and Ladder 303. Ladder 303 was a 1969 Crown 100' rear mounted ladder. The truck was replaced in 2006 by a 1989 Pierce Dash, but in 2009 BBFD was closed down due to financial issues, and the Studdsville FD took over the fire protection for the town, as well as the fire station and the firefighters and officers. The rigs didnt meet up with the SVFD's standards, so they were traded in for a Mack CF Tanker. And the former Ladder 13 was pulled from the mothballs and was refurbished and repainted, and went to work as Ladder 31. The BBFD Ladder went to the Studdsville Fire academy, where it was involved in a MVA severly damaging the cab. The rig was later repaired and sold to the Brick York FD.

Quoting Chris Sullivan-Irwin Quoting MM "In LDD you have to select the turning part, but at the tower its tucked away so you cant turn it on LDD. -MM" ok, but when you got it, did the tower work because i see you changed the tower base area up a bit.
It worked like a charm, but i reworked it a bit to make it more realistic. -MM

Quoting Lego Fire Museum Inc. We like those old aerialscopes. They keep going and going. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=432374 I like the variety of photos you offer. The only thing I suggest that you change is the backgrounds. You should get a nice neutral background. A busy background takes away from the many nice detail of the truck and your hard work.
Thanks for the link and the tips, i will try it. And its true, almost everybody loves the older rigs's.
