This time, the topic for Team Early Birds was 'Good Morning Everyone'. Here's my entry:
About this creation

Welcome to Sunnyside Up City! Home of the Early Birds.

Here is Sunnyside Up Square in the middle of town. This is the center of business with many stores and restaurants in the vicinity. It is not busy in the morning.

A statue of General MocBird, the hero from Bird War 2. He protected Sunnyside Up City from being taken over by the Happy Pandas. Note that the base is a sunny side up egg.

Two officers talking about which donuts are the best, glaze coated or jam filled.

A small cafe along the square.

A waiter serving customers grilled sandwiches for breakfast.

A businessbird looking through the store window. He's going to work and window shopping at the same time. He sure can multi-task.

Overview of the square. Better view of the statue's base.

Now to the building along the square. The first floor is a clothing store(what's with me and clothing stores? This is the second time I've featured it in an entry). The second floor houses something special.

If you were wondering why there is a MOCpages logo on the building, that is actually an Iphone 4 with the MOCpages logo on the screen.

There's the housing unit of the second floor.

With the roof taken off,

you are able to see the phone in the holder.

Look, its the Bottom of The MOC Tourney group homepage.

Angry Birds Lite!

Another overview of the square.

The holder without the phone.
Fourth Wall Commentary:
Whew! What a night. It's exam season here in Singapore, so I have not been able to think of an idea for this round. At 11pm here in Singapore, September 24, 2010 (September 23 in the US) I had an idea and quickly started building. I rushed through the MOC and slept at 1am, woke up at 8:30 and continued building. Finished at 10:30, started uploading at 11:10am and finally posted it at 11:58am. Such a close shave with the deadline. Two minutes later and I would have been late. I hope you guys like it!

Nice job on incorporating the iPhone 4. I also like the idea of the Sunny side-up base for the statue. Nice work! |
