...modified a bit to fulfill some weird, smugglish tasks.
About this creation
At first, this was just a common, ED GCT-3 garbage collection ship, which is common on lots of world. But this exact one is a bit diffrent... do you need to deliver something to your ship without looking suspicious? Then this is a ship for you.

GTC-3 is not an expensive unit; it is as simple and functional as possible. Instead of expensive antigrav engines it uses simple repulors, mounted outside to elliminate cooling problems.

Retractable landing gear. While front is really strong, rear is MUCH stronger. It easily carried a 10-liter paint bucket.

As the mechanical parts are almost totally automated, only one man is needed to operate the whole ship. Visibility is great, allowing the pilot to precisely manoeuver.

Showing cockpit controls. Notice that actual steering "joysticks" are mounted in the hatch - it is a simple but effective solution to reduce crampiness of the interor.

While not totally satisfied by the underside, it is not that bad. Rear landing gear hides perfectly, front does that *almost*. Rear is a bit disorganised, but it is because of landing gear and floor hatch.

Directly behind pilot's cabin there is reactor's bay. The whole reactor can be changed, instead of difficult and dangerous refuelling while on ship.

But what if you get rid of the reactor? Then you get perfect, shielded compartment, large enough to hide even quite big items (or even people, like here).

Its cramped, I know, but safe. Of course someone could realise that the ship is powerless now. Is that true...? You'll find out just a few photos later.

The whole model was built to be realistic and playable; it has lots of hatches, compartments and other moveable parts. Here is, for exampl, top garbage container hatch.

Main hatch, which is also a compactor. Opened and extended now...

Of course you can get the garbage out using one of two previous hatches; but just let the gravity to do the job.

Yes, this is the solution to the energy problem. This little battery is enough to make one planet surface - orbit - surface course.

Engines have fins which control left and right turning...

...and they can move up and down. This way, using a simple mechanic system, the whole ship can do any manoeuver.
So, need a silent, customs-safe transport? Then this ship is for you!

Wow, this is a pretty cool space garbage truck. From a distance it reminds me of the new Recycle Truck LEGO released. The details are great and I love how it has multiple functions. Great job. |
