Scarlet Light
U.N.E.N.'s Newest Warship is being drafted to all war-zones to defend the Alliance from the C.O.P.!
About this creation
Hello fellow MOCer/viewer(s)! These are literally the newest in reverse-engineered tech and are the bad-boys of the U.N.E.! Not quite as large and armored as Coalition ships, but pretty comparable. The Triton Construction Yards (TCY), the major company for manufacturing public cruisers and transports, are in charge of most of the construction of these. Most are used for the 3rd or Presidential Fleets. Watch out C.O.P.! Yeah, I know its LDD, but I didn't feel like paying $44 for this. But anyways... Enjoy!

Features:

  • The newest in 1st Science Fleet Tech, including repair bots, armor, weapons, propulsion, and the best of the Alliance's E.M.C. Shields! (Experimental Magnetic Countermeasures.)

  • 56 hangars for about 9 or 10 fighters each (560 total. I told you these were pretty comparable to the Coalition!), 40 Cargo Bays, a Bridge/Control-Room, and 1 observatory at the front.

  • As far as weapons go, the Scarlet Light has 6 Accelerator Cannons (Two at the front and four on the sides), 8 Heavy Cannons, and Too-Many-to-Count Rail-Guns to defend the ship from enemy fighters.

Main picture again.

The front Accelerator Cannons and just above that (The oval thing on the 1x2 plate) is the observatory that is only used for when the crew wants a nice view to watch. Its re-enforced with several layers to (a) defend from enemy fighters and Ship-Infiltrators (b) protect from radiation that bombards the front/bow of the Scarlet Light during travel.

Port/Left along with 16 of the hangers. The ship looks really smooth and menacing a bit like a Coalition ship, doesn't it?

The Bridge, and the red slanted grid/grill pieces are the Cargo Bays.

The bottom, along with 16 out of 40 Cargo Bays. (Though, space has no gravity, so "up" and "down" don't really exist.)

The back corner. 10 Hangars here.

More of the Accelerator Cannons. 2 Hangers here.

The engines/propulsion. Aren't you glad I used Trans-yellow, John?

More of the Cargo Bays.

Top of the Scarlet Light. I think I'll start using this as a signature style of U.N.E. Ships!

A comparison to a mini-fig. Now that I think of it, its actually a decent size. No wonder it was $44. Still not worth it, though. But anyways...

Like John always says:

"The U.N.E. Wants YOU"

I Like How You Combined Both Curvy And Angular Design Qualities. Also, What Is UNE, Exactly, Like What Kinda Of Sets Do You Guys Look For?

Matt I was kicked off the UNE after I responded and said "I'm in" to the membership thing at the first of the month. Why?

Nice job! I love the shape, and how the colors are laid out. Really brings the ship together. Good MOC!

Quoting danny morgan @ your comment on my CPS Dawn Herald: No, mostly Awe's style.
Yeah, but the back portion, although not the same colors, looks like something John Moffatt would do.

@ your comment on my CPS Dawn Herald: No, mostly Awe's style. @ your comment on my C.O.P Anti-Air Drone: Yeah, it's weird, I think I have a way of making a fairly appealing creation that looks detailed, and bigger than it actually is.

Quoting Perry B. Nice work, I like the usage of those vents. But the 5th picture(excluding the main picture) and the last picture look different, since the last picture featured a window on the bottom and the 5th picture didn't.
Oh, yeah... Thanks for noticing that! I think I'll change that.

Quoting Matt Hanson Could use more thruster action!
Yeah, thats what I though, too. LDD isn't exactly the best thing for that, though.

It looks like a charicature of an early x-wing with out wings. Like the guns but could use more thruster action!
