About this creation
MTAC-90i ‘Bison’ Multipurpose Transport™
Lore: The Bison is one of the most widely deployed and recognizable aerospace vehicles currently utilized by the UCM, it is a multirole VTOL craft that has come to be known as the workhorse for Colonial military operations. The MTAC-90 exists in several variants the most common being the MTAC-90i (Multirole Trans-Atmospheric Conveyance Infantry), this craft can quickly deliver or extract 10 to 16 soldiers and gear to or from combat zones. Bison’s are commonly used to deliver ground forces from orbital vessels, or transport infantry between terrestrial locations, they are also used for medevac and all Bison’s are equipped with at least one advanced life support suite (these are removed for cargo transport). A four point cable system allows for the transportation of vehicles, prefabricated structures, weapon emplacements and cargo sleds allowing the Bison to function as a carryall for oversized loads. The MTAC-90c variant lacks the troop/cargo bay and is used solely to transport heavier vehicles, cargo pods, and for airdropping up to four Phalanx combat exosuits.
The Bison is renowned for its durability and with a redundant power system it can maintain limited flight stability and performance even after suffering a total failure of either the rear directional thrust engines or the forward VTOL thrusters. The cabin features a composite perolex cockpit, providing glass like transparency with the strength of steel. The controls feature both manual and MFD’s (Multi Function Display) and the onboard LANDSCAN radar can overlay information directly onto the cockpit for ease of navigation. All Bison’s are equipped with an ECS (Electronic Countermeasure System) and can fire thermal flares, deploy static chaff, launch clout fog (to confuse targeting lasers), and upgraded units can utilize an onboard precision counter munitions laser called the ‘Incisor’. The Bison, with all of its abilities and performance capabilities has become one of the most invaluable vehicles in the Colonial Military and will undoubtedly continue this service record for many years to come.

This is another great streamline design, all fits together nicly, got some great colour use with the red and yellow colours, and the doors are great! I believe I saw a varient of this that looked somewhat like a carrier? Will that be posted along with the other big freighter ships?
Yeah I did create a 'carryall' variant that can pick up and move large crates, AIT3 APCs, or four Phalanx EXOsuits, feature pics coming soon!

Thank you all for the comments. The sheer size of the creation made it very difficult to photograph, But even more challenging to build. |
