Kessel
Kessel, originally known as Xo's Eye while under Xim's empire[3], was a planet located in the Kessel sector, in the Outer Rim Territories, near Hutt Space and the dangerous celestial bodies of the Maw. It was a prison world, and was home to the galaxy's largest spice mining operation. Under Imperial rule, slave labor was in extensive use. The planet was close to Little Kessel and had a single moon called the Garrison Moon, which was destroyed by Tol Sivron using the Death Star prototype. Information found on Wookieepedia
About this creation
This is just a cool angle overlooking the inmates

The guard watch tower (had to use almost all my blue gray and dark gray tiles this)

The spice (I know the spice on kessel was mined but this could be any one of these varieties of plant harvested spice "Avabush" "Giggledust" "Grey Gabaki")

A guard watching the inmates

An inmate trying to escape through the underbelly of the building

Here you can see the inmate is under the clone guards.

The spotlight for night harvesting work shifts

A row of spice (the reason that everybody is wearing helmets is because there is no air on Kesel accept that which is manufactured at factories, which means the air is still to thin to breath so you need a mask)

just some details of the wall

Some more detail

The communications officer

Nice work. I maybe mistaken but isn't Kessel an asteroid? Anyway, nice work, maybe you should make a battle scene. Great work~SG

Quoting Matt The Backward One The only issue I have with this is that if the planet doesn't have enough atmosphere to hold oxygen, then it doesn't have enough to hold carbon dioxide, making plant life impossible. But it could be in side a building thats air-tight were all the crew's exhaled carbon dioxide is filtered into the plant room were the plants turn it into oxygen AND spice! That way, it makes colonizing a lot easier! ..... Sorry, I forgot that I was talking about Star Wars. Anyways, nice rendering of Kessel. 4/5! ~See you in Space!
sure let's go with that. :)

@Will During Imperial rule, factories pumped trapped air out from underground caverns, creating a thin, but breathable atmosphere. After the Imperials left, and Kessel was taken..... I could go on forever, but I'll just say great job, the base looks really imperial, all it needs is some storm troopers.

You know that 'Kessel' is German for 'Pocket?' Nice going, that field looks good. But what kind of plant grows in rarified atmosphere?

Quoting Will Jarman That's really neat! Although one thing I don't get is how the plants are living if there isn't any air... ...anyhow really simple moc yet really nice, keep up the good work!
you no I didn't really think of that. Lets say that.... The plants don't need as much oxygen as humans so that's why the factories produce the air.
