The Pinchbots have invaded Figuria -- run for your lives! Wait a minute... maybe not. Phil and Sherry have all the information you need to survive the invasion, while Robert just wastes precious screen time.

I don't know how many people actually use MOCpages to view my animations, but for some reason I feel like y'all are here to find out some more of the behind the scenes craziness that goes on. So I'm going to proceed with that assumption. Consider yourselves warned. I spent a lot of time crafting single still shots in this episode. I try to make them evocative of a rich deep world with as few props as possible.


Those two buildings end up in the background of a lot of shots in the series, because I only have a few buildings at that scale right now, but I also like to imagine that New Block City is set up so you can always see them no matter where you are. So those are a couple large creations that get used again and again. In stark contrast let me point out a couple large creations that I spent hours and hours creating and redesigning that only show up for a few seconds.

"Les Brique Tres Chic" Also the most impractical building ever.

I love this giant Pinchbot landingbot, but my oh my is he fragile. For the landing sequence I had to prop him up on tall spindly 2x2 bricks and slowly lower him down.

That shot took at least 2 hours to animate. I only broke the landing bot two or three times. An lastly, here's one gigantic prop that only appears for a short time that I have absolutely no regrets about.

I originally had them all facing out, but then I decided to change a few up just to have some variety. Even robots need to feel special and unique.

The head is made with a headlight brick sticking into the back of a 1x2 plate.
