The Revenant: The Ghost will never be the same again.
About this creation
Well, this is the first creation I've gotten up ever since my plans. As you know, I have a life as well, and I'm only in high school. Therefore, I've decided to complete things on the weekends ONLY. You can see my homepage for details.

The second creation in Reach that I have managed to conjure up is this Revenant, a fast and maneuverable craft like the Ghost but also having a mortar that allows it to destroy even Wraiths. *Still got to put that Wraith up...* This here, my friend, is the Falcon view of my Revvie, sporting it's nice curves. *Also remembers to build his Falcon...*

Here's a frontal view, and yes, you can get splattered. Most likely decapitated from the mortar first, though. As you can see it's a lot bulgier in the front, but the hood is where it all comes from. You'll see how I did the hood later.

Here's a side view of the Revenant, showing that the back is a little blocky in some areas but besides that is up to scale. Talking about that, this creation is the best one scale-wise that I have ever built! Hooray!

Here's some pretty intermediate greebling skills, in which I am pretty satisfied with. Yes, I've seen so much better greebling that totally outclasses mine to the hundreds of degrees, but it's the best that I could do for the exposed engine on the Revenant. Oh well. Someone needs to teach me the Skill of Greebling.

Here's how I made the shape for the hood, by just basically angling it upwards. So why would I not say it would fall under its own weight? Because the frontal control panels near the cockpit hold it up from the other end. Clever. Here's also a shot of how I made the fin things on the sides angle as they are, and the bottom of my greebles.

Here's a shot of where the Spartan/Elite would be sitting, plus a part of the hood. Yes, although I made the seats to scale for Elites, little tiny minifigure Spartans would be literally dead in this thing. Ah well. At least they look comfy...

Here's the other shot of the cockpit, the messiest part and also the Part of Mixed Feelings. You can see that the handles that need to be held and the HUDs in the front are angled, simply because it would be impossible to do if they were straight. They still look good, though, especially the center one.

Pertaining to the back side, here's the butt of the beast. Probably the blockiest and angled part of the whole thing, really different from the smooth curvy textures in the front. However, having being said, the scales are correct, the exhaust grilles are in the right place, and the slopes almost perfectly match the mortar's shape.

Here's ye old mortar, light mortar to be exact, that can blow up a Wraith in x number of shots. Stupid Halopedia. Anyway, it's rather simple and wasn't hard to make, but it was still the tenth attempt at it because I wanted to make it fold into the back like in the game. Not happening like that, but you see here...

...that I cheated! Just took it off of its stand and put it back farther away. And it still looks like crap! Yeah, that play feature was a bust.

So here's the closing shot; hope you liked it! I'll be putting up my next "secret" creation sometime soon.

You don't know how good it feels to see another good LDD builder on this site. Really, nice Revenant: mine's coming up on my first "Reach Update." I will be posting it later today along with Grunts, Warthogs, and maybe Elites. Keep an eye out for it! |

I believe this is the best and maybe the best I will ever see of a lego Revenant. I usually hate LDD but this is just awesome. Nice Job, I am going to try to copy your awesome directions. I can't believe Saber Scorpion makes you pay for it.
Thanks so much.
So glad you like it...I really thought this was a winner too. Just remember to give credit to the builder if you ever post it on the internet (Yeah, that's sort of kiddish, but I want my credit...) |
