P51 Mustang (1st version)
North American P51 D Mustang (1944)
About this creation
It's a Megabloks set deeply improved with Lego bricks (50% Megabloks, 50% Lego).
Actually I've changed the whole inner structure because the former one was too fragile. Wings and tail were falling down when lifted !

It's not finished yet (some improvements to come with Mark II).

3 short movies (.avi)with engine running on Brickshelf.

My Mustang features:

4,5v motor drives the engine
flaps and landing gear retractable
radiator flap moveable
fully articulated pilot with detailed cockpit
articulated rudder
moveable canopy

new tail on schedule for the Mark II

nose will be shortened a bit (1 stud)

   retractable landing gear

a nose art would fit well here...

   4,5v motor added

exit of the electric wire for the 4.5V motor

3 short movies showing the propeller running on at Brickshelf's

Still too many studs on the wings! This will be fixed...

this creation is really perfect ... all details , color, and the scale are 5/5

It's nice, but it's MEGABLOCKS. My dad has it and yours is almost 100% megablocks. Try to make more lego models, not megablocks.

Great work on the plane. I would make the nose more pointy and bigger wheels.I also love the canopy!

Great idea for a creation but you used megablocks! Wish you used 100% lego.

Great, someone who has the real concept of the P-51. The scail is perfect. But i am not sure i like the pilots long legs. lol

this is one great model... good work on the details, though the clearly non-lego prop and windscreen don't fit. however, the overall look compensates this easily. great job!
