About this creation

Text that applies to the picture is located underneath. Now enjoy!

Eric- This place gives me the creeps…

… I just want to find Mark and get out of here…

...Thats really weird…

(door creaks loudly)
Eric- Mark’s flashlight?

(flickers)

Eric- Why are they always out of batteries?

Eric- (shivering) Alright-alright it’ll be ok… remember your happy song.

(mumbling happy song)

(switch activates)

(Torch of Evil Ignites)

(Torch of Good Ignites)

Eric- That really freaked me out! Hey isn’t that Mark’s hat…

…AAAAAAHHHHHH!

I’m officially tired of this place.
?-sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Eric- What was that?

Maybe it came from under the floorboards.

Eric- Forget this, I am outa here.

Eric- What in the world? This wasn’t here a second ago.

Eric- Wait, how did I get in here!?!? Let me out!

?- (high pitched) Mine or Shatter!
Eric- What does that mean? Do you want me to copy you?

(The Torch of Evil baths the room in red, and Eric fails to copy the mysterious shadow)

Eric- Hey wait, don’t I get a do-over?

(mirror shatters)

(the shadow of Eric Mickle is now taking the place of Eric Mickle)

Layout

Overall View

The front yard complete with a pathway, chopping block, weeds, etc.

Either it’s a poorly buried arm, or the dark figure wanted you to see it.

Front door and window. I broke into a bunch of sets to get some of these pieces.

Inside

Stairs with railings.

Now into the basement.

I tried to make the floor boards look like they were damaged by the hammer. Also to hide the arm.

Skeleton hanged from the pipes.

Another view of the hanged skelly. It was a bit irritating to put it there.

The required 8x8 base.

From the previous angle that grey piece may look like it’s at the same level as the 8x8 base, but it isn’t.

Fourth Wall Commentary- This was really fun to build, and it all came together perfectly. I got the idea from a superstition that I made up a while back, it sounds like this- "dont make eye contact with mirrors or you'll switch places." Well I hoped you enjoyed it, and good luck to the rest of the contestents!

Quoting Athanasios Lazarou Hey, Eric, sorry I refused your request to join the group "Jericho," but I'm part of too many groups right now, and if I join yours I'll end up being inactive... Sorry. :( Cool creation, though...
I understand, it's tough staying active in every group you are in.

Quoting Heath 'kik36' Flor Oh, and you're title seems to be misspelled....that or the phrase in the story.
Oh I see what you mean, the phrase said by the shadow says "Mine or Shatter" it should be mime but you probably know that. Im not to knowledgable (if thats even a word) about vigs so I didnt know about the whole action scenes thing.

Excellent build and entry here Eric. Unfortunately I don't agree with the school of thought that there should be multiple action shots when you're building a vig. So I'm docking some points off of presentation. Originality is a 5, build is a 5, presentation 3 for a total of 13. Good luck with the other judges!

This is a detailed MOC and the story is very well told. Reminds me of the cool 80s horror flicks. For some reason I also liked the idea of the skeleton. You can see it already in the pic where Eric mumbles, yet it has no meaning for the main story line. Nice.
