India unveils its newest tracked vehicle, the R47 Small Artillery Tractor and logistics hauler. The R47 is highly versatile and only a few examples are shown.
About this creation
Why just haul a field gun, when you can be one? Here's the 'Elephant' variant, so named because of its strange appearance from the front. Not the best SPG, but it can get the job done when needed. Mounts a 75mm gun.
The R47 family is large, mounted on the same chassis.
Powerplant: V200 800 hp engine.
Capacity: 1/2 ton (loaded), 1.5 tons (pulling)
Top speed: 40 mph
Fording: 3 feet
Had the most fun with this one. Based off of a WWII family, they still have a place today! Okay, so the inverted cavalry insignia looks strange, couldn't be helped.
This one is pretty much an engineering variant. This model can also serve as a troop transport in a pinch. Hey, beats walking...
Easily transported by air & rail. Dirt cheap. Sorta like a mule, but doesn't talk back...
I LOVE that transport there, very tempting to buy, but I may actually motivate myself to make something like it. Great SPG too, I always love those. But the cavalry insignia actually couldn't look any better on an Indian military vehicle- it looks like two crossed scimitars or some other Indian saber! It looks AWESOME! Have a little imagination, yo!
