Do you know if I could buy ball and socket joints at a lego store or if not where else ? I plan to buy some more to make more lego transformers.(The last time I went to the store they only had basic part that I already had) Also just out of question, wich optimus creation is your buddy icon from?

I dont remember much about g1 prime but this is sweet. Do you know the optimus prime from around 2006? His trailer became like a giant cannon on his back. Maybe give that a go. just a thought. Cool moc

the crotch is a 2 brick wide by 2 brick tall speciallty brick with ratchet on one side and just pin hole on the other. It was found mostly in aquanaut and alpha team sets in the 90s to hook claws onto. Which reminds me I need to find some on ebay.

Very impressive, I love the articulation with the ratchet joints. I still cannot figure out what type of brick you used to connect the leg ratchet joint to the crotch piece. My brain hurts...please tell me, lol.

Chris, this is the best G1 Optimus Prime ever! Not only did you build Optimus Prime but you also built his trailer AND you made them both be able to transform and be able to look like they do with the actual toys, too. I got to agree with the guy that said that I couldn't tell this apart from the actual G1 Optimus Prime toy. As for what W. Mark said, should I consider siccing Grimlock after him for his comments?

BEST...PRIME...EVER! I love it, man! Every detail is spot-on. My only suggestion would be to redesign the Matrix with some trans-pieces in the center. Otherwise, this is a masterpiece!
