Monestery - Micro scale
Set in a beautiful secluded cove, this Monestery is the perfect spot for Monks to relax while they seek the greater meaning to life.
About this creation

Landing on the pier lifts weight off your shoulders as butterflies take flight in your stomach. There are two large Emeralds, placed on top of two gold-capped columns. Breath taking - but not nearly as much as what your further anticipating.

High angle shot of pier.

The excitement grows as you start walking up the large stairs carved into the rock.

Turning to look around you see the beautiful cove you've just landed in. Theres a grass patch with a few shrubs and trees - serenity is of utmost importance!

Walking up the path you notice a group of trees to your left, higher up on the hill. You figure these must be used for food gathering.

You continue walking up the stone carven steps waiting as the Monastery slowly comes into view. And what a sight! The Monks keep the white in pristine condition - taking pride in their residence. You stare in amazement at the gold domed building!

View of the right side of the cove.

Looking across from the cliffs you are on, you see luscious greenery coming down the cliff on the right side of the cove.

The greenery seems to cut the beach in half, making a small section accessible only at low tide - looks wonderful with the waves crashing on the rocks.

A view of the Monastery from the small portion of beach.

High on the rocks across the cove you see another huge piece of gold domed architecture.
Talking to a Monk he tells you this is the Meeting Hall, for banquets and celebrations - food brings people together - much like birds...

View of the Meeting Hall.

View of the gardens outside the Meeting Hall.

High angle view of the left side of the cove.

Birds eye view - the last image Monks are left with when they pass away.

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^= That 5.0 was a MASSIVE jolt alright! Short and sharp. We got sent home from work because the building needed to be inspected. It felt like a huge truck rammed into the side of the building. Man, when will these aftershocks stop! Its been like 7 weeks or something since the big one.
Yeah thats the same thing i'm hearing on the news every day. amazing, 24 and im already turning into an old man... Sux

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^= What a wonderful micro scale build. I need the relaxation of that beach, to look up at the beautiful buildings on the top of the rocks, feel the calm and serenity wash over me... sigh... oh well, work at 7am tomorrow... Labour Day on Monday though, maybe I will get some build time in.

Excellent work! Love the details with the rocks and water especially. Interesting presentation as well, not bringing the monastery into view until the end. Keep it up! -Drew
