The Fortress of Ogel
Join me for a tour of my second miniature diorama, and my first castle themed creation! This is a 16 by 16 vignette of a castle fortress atop a lofty, moat surrounded rock. The fortress's name is Ogel. (You'll wake up a 2:00 AM one night yelling, "I get it!") Anyhow, enjoy and please comment! Edit: I just found out that Alpha Team's arch enemy is named Ogel; and for the exact same reason.
About this creation
The proud fortress of Ogel was founded in the grey regions from the years 1134 to 1137 AD. The location was an obvious choice, seeing as the site was surrounded by tall cliffs and a moat. The castle has been famous for over a thousand years for it's architecture and strength. As such, no attacks have been attempted since the siege of 1344. Attacks undeniably fail.

The rock island and the surrounding cliffs are composed of solid and jagged granite, making vertical ascent virtually impossible. The castle lies roughly 400 feet above the moat below, a fall that, if taken, is not survivable.

The arched bridge that leads from the surrounding country to the castle was carved elegantly from the rock itself. It is the only access to Ogel, and, if the need arises, the bridge can be detonated, isolating the castle from the rest of the world. Behind the bridge can be seen the elegant Rainbow falls. The Tons River dumps here after traveling over 150 miles.

The guardhouse is always monitoring the influx of travelers to Ogel. If an alarm is sounded, the castle's entrance can be immediately blocked. The mainland also offers a diverse amount of vegetation, some trees towering above the buildings on land.

Composed of three main towers and two smaller ones, the Fortress of Ogel is heavily fortified. Inside, a spacious courtyard serves as a market in the summer months. Living quarters, stables, and armories are found in buildings on the outside of the walls, and the dungeon is beneath the ground.

The royalty of the castle was passed down through the Loft family for dozens of generations, the reputation of just rule growing with each year. The defeat of the Lofa clan in 1344 was a success deserving of this reputation.

The castle's keep is home to the grand throne room and dining halls. It's stunning architecture is unmatched in awesomeness.

Warrior Falls, much less beautiful than the falls on the other side of the moat, Is the main source of the castle's diseases. Capital punishment is a trip down the waterfall in a barrel. If the fall doesn't kill you, the water will.

As a direct result of Warrior Falls, the castle's moat is is a muddy, algal reservoir. The moat never fills, however; the ground beneath the moat acting as a natural drain.

Truly, the Fortress of Ogel is one of the grandest castles in all the world. I hope you enjoyed your tour.

Final note: If you even had the patience to read this far, I may tell you that each of the proper names in this commentary mean something. Take the time to figure it out! Enjoy!

Nice "Lego" Castle! If I hadn't known what Ogel was I probably would've been scratching my head for a long time.

Cool micro fortress! "Capital punishment is a trip down the waterfall in a barrel. If the fall doesn't kill you, the water will." Nice.

Quoting Jeff Fauble Also, in Lego Island II, the planet that the Brickster sets up base on is called Ogel. I can't remember where, but a variant on the "OcTan" fuel decals was Ogel fuel. Lego has used it sporadically wherever they feel like it.
And gracious! I thought I came up with it!
