I've seen so many TFOL survival guides saying all AFOL's have everything and have all the time in the world, they were wrong, somewhat. These are just a few things AFOL's have to worry about. Sorry if I couldn't get to any other reasons. Text for the corresponding picture is below. For the first picture: A very popular belief among younger TFOLs and KFOLs is that all AFOLs do is sit there building huge awesome ships and micro cities.
About this creation
Another popular belief is that since AFOLs dont have homework, all they do is sit on Moc pages and comment on people's creations.
AFOL: Wow that multi-colored rainbow ship is sooo bad, Im gonna give it a 1 head rating to ruin his day.
But really, AFOLs have to do taxes and work which ,depending on our profession, can be lawschool, med school, banking, managing, and many other things that require a lot of work.
Computer: You have 324 e-mails that need to be responded to in 2 hours.
AFOL: Argg! I hate this!
Also, many AFOLs have children that require an education, food, shelter, love, and several other time/money-consuming things. Although the children should make them happy, it just adds more stress to their life.
Kid: Hi Daddy! Can I get a Kitten. Margaret and Joe and Garret all have Kittens, and is it true soda makes you head explode? huh huh? Answer me! Daddy! Can I have a bazooka? All the military has a bazooka, and while your at it, order Halo Reach! Do it now!
AFOL: No I will not, let me do my work.
Kid: we will not stop till you answer our questions!
(see what I mean. Note: not all kids are this annoying.)
Plus, some children are terrible at school and their report cards cause heart attacks
Kid: Look at my report card! I got an F+ not an F- so ha you owe me 50 dollars for improving dramatically.
AFOL: This is not a dramatic improvment, this is terrible! How can you fail Lunch time! Now I have to hire you guys a very expensive tutor.
Contrary to another popular belief, AFOLs do not just get in a car and drive to the lego store causing them to run out of sets till next month.
AFOL: La La La La La Im going to the lego store!
Shop woman: That will be 99999999999999999.99 please.
AFOL: will a 100000000000000000 dollar bill work?
Shop Woman: yes it will. Pay up
AFOL: Here you go!
(lets just say the hundred dollar bill is worth more than it says)
AFOL: He He He no one else will be able to buy any lego sets anymore!
But Really, the cars are for driving children to and fro school, to the store, and what not.
Kid: First we go to the mall, then the toy store, and then Ford's house where we will meet up with Darion. And After that we can go to that Tutoring camp leaving you absolutly no alone time daddy!
AFOL: *mutters* I swear once these kids turn 18, I will kick them out of the house.
Kid: what'd you say daddy?
AFOL: Er I said that um once you turn 18 we will have to kick the little plastic toilet out of the house, uh yeah.
Instead of buying all the lego sets, The AFOL is forced to watch kids 20 years younger than he is buy huge lego sets.
Kid: I'll have those three sets.
Shopwoman: okay that will be 1000 dollars.
Kid: here ya go!
(lets again pretent that the money is 100x10)
And, AFOLs have to avoid angry housewives if they claim you are spending more time with legos then kids.
Wife: You get back here this instant, and I do know for a fact that this bazooka is loaded.
AFOL: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Plus, once your kids become teens, the'll be asking for all sorts of money for strange reasons.
Teen: I need 100 dollars for the school dance, ear piercing, and a batch of cookies for my girlfriend, oh and some for the cosmetic store downtown. So Fork over the Cash.
AFOL: well um that seems like a waste of money.
Teen: do you want me to tell mom about your lego collection in the "restricted" basement, and then sneak down there and smash it with a sledge hammer?
AFOL: You wouldn't...
Teen: Yes I would. Hand it over gramps, I dont got all day, and moms on speed dial.
AFOL: Okay Okay. Here
Teen: Thanks dad, I love you!
AFOL: just 3 more years, just 3 more years.
There are however some AFOLs who do have a lot of time and money, and all they do is build huge lego builds
So if your a KFOL, TFOL, or an AFOL, each one has their own different lego problems. So be happy with what you are!

this is my first micro scale ship, and I think it ended out pretty good.
This is the micro city which I threw together in about 15.57 seconds with random pieces. I call it, stupidity.
These are the boxes of lego, one is a fire set, and the other two are random lego sets.
So long now, Im going to go play with my ship.
Shoom. Bam bam. rat-ta-ta-ta-ta augg shadoom. Oh wait youre still here? Well, begone, let me play in peace.

True. I belive It's best to be a kid (more life ahead, beautiful illusions and time, lots of it) but in terms of LEGO I think it's actually the best to be a TFOL (not MUCH responsibility, slightly enough money in most cases, mid-experience) It's like the middle. No up or down sides (ok, I could write a list) just all in middle. |
