The Tsukimiya is what I call a "colonial merchantman", a fusion of old and new technologies. She was built from scrap parts by colonists on CL53A for the transport of general goods, capable of carrying 16 standard sized containers. A steam - electric drive train runs repulsor lifts and the propulsion system, a pair of contra rotating propellors driven by an eletric engine.
The Tsukimiya is built to be compatible with the MASS system, and is indeed capable of carrying 16 4 x 8 x 4 containers (The standard sized ones all the train people use).
An old 9v motor is permanently connected to the "steam" engine, immitating the continuous running of a steam engine to drive repulsor lifts and electrical systems. A clutch engages the propellors connected to the "electric" engine.
The ship also has retractable landing gear.
EDIT: Apparently people don't understand that this is an atmospheric vehicle, not a space-faring one. Hence it is categorized under "land craft". Propellors are thus a viable form of propulsion.
This definitely has a lot of potential. It was built off of a great idea...however:
I'd suggest on getting some good old fashioned eninges instead of propellors. It just doesn't fit with the moc. The "Amtrack" theme is nice, but the cockpit is a bit too high and towery. Good job so far!
