New Hope Tower Vig
Seven stories high, seventeen minifigures, and terribly off balance, the long-awaited Star Wars Episode IV tower vignette is finally here. A sort of heptych presentation of the key points of the movie, the 8 by 8 vignette is one of my largest creations. I hope that all viewers will enjoy this creation as much as I do. About this creation
I have had this creation built for some time, but I never got around to taking pictures of it. It was quite the project, but I think it turned out wonderfully.

Nothing starts off a vignette better than a little greebling!

My personal favorite, this first level inside the rebel Blockade Runner, shows two soldiers running to defend the ship.

The second level up from the bottom shows R2D2 and C3PO leaving the escape pod on Tatooine.

The third level is the famous duel between Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The accurate wall in the background is my favorite part of the level.

Even though it is not as visible in the photos, the Death Star wall behind them is angled.

The classic scene where Luke and Leia swing across the chasm is represented in this fourth level. Having only one Princess Leia head, I chose to use a different head for this level and save my only one for the seventh level.

Leia's right arm is disconnected from her body, and the connection on the arm is sanded down.

The fifth level is the rebel briefing before the Battle of Yavin. The screen is a printed decal STAMP.

The obvious main cause of the instability of the tower is the sixth level, Darth Vader's Tie Fighter, that represents the Battle of Yavin. Being the climax of the film, it is the largest level. Basically, it is simply the 2009 set with the back removed, pegged to the black wall.

The final level, the victory celebration at the end of the movie caps the vignette well. The level features an exclusive Luke Skywalker minifig, and Han Solo has a custom decal.

Let me tell you that if you plan on building something like this, be sure to take into consideration how to photograph it! I had a very hard time getting an all-white background behind this fellow.

Impresive. I've made on to. It will be uo at the end of the week. For a background though all I did what stick up a couple of white sheets and I croped everything else out.

Very impressive vignette. And the hard work with the white background definitely paid off, since it makes it look even more spectacular.

Very well done! That is a truly impressive vignette. Perhaps there could be more greebling though on the first level.
