Luke's 8x8 "Massive Wangle" Vignette Contest Entry
Ta-daaa
About this creation
From the contest's homepage:
"It's contest time! Build a vignette with an 8x8 footprint. Any theme! Overhang is allowed (and (secretly) actively encouraged). Whoever can most creatively/audaciously wangle the 8x8 format wins! ... "

Definition of "Wangle":
To bring about, accomplish, or obtain by scheming or underhand methods

So here is my entry:

Front. As you see we have our typical girl has her pet parrot escape and lands on top of tall pole which is oddly shaped with skateboarder watching while skating by.

Side

Back

But wait, what is this? A magic piece slides out... and then you can rearrange the entire vignette by sliding all of the pieces around!! Yes folk, thats right, its a sliding puzzle vignette.

Yup.

And the magic piece goes back in.

Front view of our new vignette... now it is a skateboarder not paying attention/listening to his music to loudly and about to run over girl with parrot and rat watching the show.

And last but not least a side view back view type picture. Yup.

Thanks for viewing, and may the best man I win...

having only seen one or two of the other creations, i have a feeling i'm not gonna win. especially after seeing this one. originally would have gone with a 2/5 cuz it did'nt seem all that exciting, but then i saw the rearranging, which is not something i could ever do in LDD, or with my limited resources. 5/5

Quoting Jeffery Lautenslager Hey that looks really awesome! the white background looks really effective. I have yet to perfect that sort of background style, how do you do it? Do you have any tips?
Piece of paper. Do not use flash. Use natural light if possible, or a lamp if natural light is not possible. Then use a program like Photoshop or the free alternative GIMP, and add play with the light.

Great work flare. A very 'clean and smooth' Vig. P.S could you judge a moc-off Athanasios vs I?

Too cool. Love the idea of a sliding puzzle vig, and the last set of pics were best, I've done that all too often. Maybe more details, but otherwise, cool. 4/5 ~Sam

A grand idea indeed flare. The puzzle is very cool. As to the answer to your question of making your own "Choose Your Own Adventure". Go right ahead. All i ask is for a wee bit of credit for the idea. Thanks, good luck and well done.

Quoting W Mark Clever, but the point here was to have as much overhang as possible, rather than none at all.
No, it was to be as creative as possible, overhang is just an option.

Quoting E.K.O . Nice job, but it could use some more detail.
Its difficult to add more details when you need to have small pieces that move around... they actually slide around to create a new vignette.
