CPS Star of Aor
My new microscale ship, this one twice as large as the last one.
About this creation
this one was a pain to photograph, especially with my camera. So I photoshopped the main pic to cover up the bad quality photos! I made the background myself, from scratch, so nobody to give credit to for that.

The ship itself is quite big, at 48 studs long and weighing nearly 2 pounds.

Let your eyes feast on this whole grainy goodness (pun intended).

Proof that this thing really does fly.

thanks for looking!

The main image really does this justice, and the greebling looks great.

You don't mind posting this on Flickr so I can leave notes about what needs to be improved, would you? Its easier to just show it rather than attempt to explain.

Quoting Matt The Backward One
Quoting danny morgan I did that with my other ship, the Herald of Dawn.
Ah, I see what you mean. I was thinking something more like this,[http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=172818&id=/user_images/9379/12611052253], though. I also love the Dark-Bley wheel guards on the sides. You should put medium-ish guns there, however. And it would be very appealing if you added transparent pieces for the engines. Hope to see more! (And to compete with you. :P)
ok, thanks for the feedback! these are the kinds of comments i need.

Quoting Matt The Backward One Well, anyways, I think the main picture should show more of the side. And theres more room for guns if you remove some of the slanted pieces and go slightly Harbinger style.
I did that with my other ship, the Herald of Dawn. I wanted to try something new here.

Awesome bit of building there. Makes me feel bad about the way my 'Puritania' was built. Great balance between plain sections and greebles, awesome bit of shaping going on, and excellent front section. 5/5 from me. ~Sam

This is some fantastic work here Danny! The greebles on it add alot of detail! Well that's what greebles are for but you know what I mean. The little curved dark bley pieces at the front are very creative!

Quoting Eric Mickle I have to ask, How do you get a backround like that? I need one for my ship.
I used a variety of different techniques using photoshop elements version 8.0. There's really so much to now about Photoshop I can't really explain it, you just have to spend a lot of time experimenting with different effects. I think there are also many tutorials on the internet.

Cool ship, Dude! I like how you used those wheel well parts on the side of the hull. And nice job on that first pic! There's a photo editing group if you're interested in posting it: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/13655 And feel free to talk about how you made your own background. Well done!

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Great work, very COP. Was this perchance inspired by some of Ian's ships from Empire of Ashes?
No it wasn't actually, it was inspired partly by your E-class warship.
