Here I present you my creation – infamous pirate flagship „Catalina Hermosa“ (Handsome Catalina). I combined the elements of four of my favourite ship types: east indianman, fluyt, ship of the line and galleon. This beauty was launched in 1685., originally named „Lucero del Alba“ (Morning star), first as a warship of spanish armada, but she was severely damaged when in 1697. she caught fire. After restoration, she was transformed into merchant ship, and was anchored in Cartaghena in Colombia. In 1701., 500 spanish pirates led by capitain Villanueva attacked the city and took the ship as a prize. Capitain Villanueva renamed her „Catalina Hermosa“ after his favourite mistress, and she beacme the flagship of his fleet. Ship originally had only one gun deck, but pirates added extra cannons on the main and upper deck.

Holy Mother of Pearl! That's a wicked ship, Dude! The burnt sails work, I think.

I don't like those brown stickers or paint or whatever it is, however, qua shape it's quite nice, I like the hatches giving entrance to the hold, good job

thank you very much for your comment, yes, you're right, my goal was to present a wooden ship, a little bit damaged in battles, and pirate ship which is not maintained very well. Because, it's a pirate ship, not a well maintained ship of royal navy

i really like this ship , it looks so good and it also looks like it just went home from a war i like the many details outside on the cabin. and its cool that even so you burned some parts it dosent look like you did so looks like something theres painted into the bricks. nice job, really good. i know how hard it is to build a tall great ship, but my sails didnt turned out that well as yours

no, i actually burned some parts of the ship (especially the lower hull) to get more realistic condition of the creation
