This is the Orion Class Starship Persevere. It was first launched into orbit above Arkite as a Peacekeeping vessel. One year after its launch peace talks ceased to exist. Persevere became the leading vessel of destruction.

Quoting El Barto !
Ah, another photoshopped pic! You've been busy! This one is a little tricky because of the background, and the lighting direction differences. It might be interesting to make the ship about half the size, and get it away from that asteroid with the shockwave. The wing gets a little confused over there, I think. Does that make sense?
Yeah I have been busy. I have been experimenting alot with different colors and light effects. Ill try to make another with the smaller ship that actually sounds alot better. Thanks for the pointer. |

very good design, but i dont think it would be very practical in a battle, that massive side area presents a huge target lol. |

Interesting. Check out some of my large ships in my Star Wars folder if you are looking for building ideas and techniques. I don't use photoshop and stick with pretty simplistic photography though. |

I use Gimp, it's free online. There's a photo editing group if you're interested:

There's a very brief instruction in the First Victim conversation. That should get you started! |

I'm trying to get better in that area as well, so I can't advise too much. I would say study the pictures of some of your favorite builders mainly. Cole Blaq is a great study. I'd also suggest Brian Kescenovitz, and Mr. Xenomurphy also, especially if you like photoshopped stuff. I will say that my picture quality increased a bunch when I found the SuperMacro (and also how to adjust the exposure) setting on my camera, also it's pointless to upload a fuzzy photo, but it seems like you already know that. Lighting is important, and you can spice things up by picking a background that's complimentary, or by adding some photoshop to it, seems like your lighting and background is fine to me though too. Anyway, hope you get it, I'd be interested to know if you found anything that really helped you out. |

Quoting Ced The Clever
Nice debut Moc! I'm very envious of the blue hose. What is the story behind this? Did it win an award? I could understand that. I really like the front nose section. The overall shape of the upper rear is good, but it looks a little busy to me. I think mainly it has to do with the color scheme and where you are choosing to put them. I hope that's not too harsh for your second comment. Keep up the good work!
Hey Thanks for the welcome. Yeah it's been awhile since I've made a model. It is way to busy I agree. There really is no Story behind it yet, only that many of my designs come from my book I was writing, Scifi of course. Just picked up a old stetch that I drew and started creating. One question I really need to be answered is taking photo's of models. How do you get the best quality photo's? |
