A GREAT Cause!
A story of a few warm hearted MOCers.
About this creation
I just want to take a moment to plug, advertise, scream, notify, and downright slap you in the face about a great cause that YOU can get involved in. It's called the Creations for Charity and is put on by none other than Nannan Z.

The charity raises funds by selling user's creations, and accepting donations. Then the charity uses the funds to purchase a TON of LEGO to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. They use the toys every year at Christmas time to donate to underprivileged children.

I was in the Marine Corps for 4 years and fully back this charity 100%. It's a wonderful program that gives back to the community. Creations for Charity helps to bridge the gap between MOCers and the toys for tots program, and let's everyone get involved.

I was considering donating my dolphin to the cause when Nannan approached me and stated that Doctor Lee Jones had requested my dolphin! Nannan had asked if I wanted to be reimbursed for anything since it was a requested piece and not donated......yet. I told him that I did not want any reimbursement whatsoever.....not even shipping.

So Lee paid up after I agreed, and I went to ship the dolphin to him. Unfortunately I had to make some "adjustments" in order to fit it into a bubble mailer. Hey, I may donate the shipping, but I'm still going to do it as cheaply as possible!!

He also wanted a signed card to display with the MOC, so I obliged:

All kidding aside, I just wanted to try and spread the word and make the community more aware of this wonderful charity. I hope I didn't embarrass Lee by calling him out, but I wanted to use our story as a driving force to assist with the charity.

Here you can find the
Creations for Charity website.

You can also DONATE HERE!

So what are you waiting for fellow MOCers?! Let's make some youngins have a very MERRY Christmas!!! Hoorah!

Just be careful, I think he may see that card as an invitation! My advice, keep your back to the wall at BW next year! Time to get my donation built now. Only what to build...? ~ Chris.

Shouldn't the card say: "So long, and thanks for all the fish"? Out of dolphins? This calls for a new HHGTTG contest!

This is a great thing and you, sir, are an honorable man. The modifications really add to the whole MOC and the card is very heartful, haha.
