Five more shops. Three built with other people's bricks, three different blues, a light yellow three-story and the rough draft of the bookshop.
About this creation
Don't let me near your bricks, or this might happen to you. The tan was built out of Peter Guenther's collection, the Maersk blue out of Larry Pieniazek's, and the sand blue out of Ken Koleda's. The other two are my bricks, built the day after Thanksgiving. I had built another large tudor shop earlier that week, but nothing else and had felt like a slacker. All of these will be making an appearance in MichLUG's medieval display in Wheaton, IL the weekend of Dec 6th.

The inside of this one isn't pretty. The piece selection was pretty good, but the exterior just got funky. (Built Nov 1st)

Hmm... Medium blue. This one actually looked alright inside, but I didn't want to spend the time working hinges into the design. I'm a slacker, I know. This one was also an experiment in square timbering. I still like the rounds. Back to BrickLink, I guess. (Built Nov 28th)

This is the only shop where I actually built the second floor first. I wanted to come up with a floor plan that fit the bricks available. Unfortunatly it ended up not being very deep. (Built Nov 22nd)

Call this the rough draft for my bookshop. I built this the night after we setup the MichLUG castle display at the 2003 Motor City Comic Con. Peter wouldn't sell it to me, so I just couldn't get the idea out of my head. (Built Oct 17th)

Hmm... a lot like the floor plan of the previous one. What can I say, all the shops were 200 miles away at a week long show. So I couldn't compare. Still I really dig that light yellow color. (Built Nov 28th)
