Another one of my Pokemon gyms - this one is the fifth one, the water league. This one is V3. I won't upload V1 and V2, because they were made a long time ago and I made no photos. Besides, V1 was built by my friend.
About this creation
Tune in some cool music!
I like making creations that I actually use for something. This one, as well as my other gyms, was used as an actual gym in our Pokemon LARP. When we get to a gym, one of us build it, and we go through it using a minifig and our Pokemon. It's really fun! This one is a special one, because, as it is on a ship, it is placed outdoors in a tiny pool filled with water held by duct tape. How cool is that? Here is shown how my friend Simon (the one who made V1) goes through the gym controlled by me and General Bomb. (and no, this is not the weather in my country in Autumn - the photos were made in Summer)
Simon arrives at the ship. The gym has got a special rule - if you've got Surf, you can go to PokeCenter any time you want, and if you don't have Surf, you must travel there by a small boat (when you want to go to the PokeCenter, the setting resets). Simon has got Surf.
Here are the Pokemon he took there. Because of their high levels, all the enemy Pokemon levels in the gym were made a little higher.
He goes to the first trainer.
Chef: *munch munch* Wait a second, let me finish eating.
Simon battles with the Chef.
And he wins, of course.
Chef: Oh, the eating distracted me.
He goes further and battles the sailor. In this gym you can choose to fight the sailor or the chef. He fought both.
He goes back.
And under the deck.
There he encounters another trainer...
...and wins (WHAT did you expect?)
He goes back to the PokeCenter and heals his Pokemon.
Then he goes further into the ship.
He finds diving equipment. It's needed to go underwater if you don't have Dive (so if you have Dive, you don't have to fight that trainer). He didn't have Dive.
And so he left his hair in the banana box...
...and got the equipment ready.
Now he will go underwater. Normally you have to go underwater later, but he has chosen to go there now and beat all the diver trainers.
Oops! Lego bricks float. Nevermind, we'll hold him down.
Simon encounters the optional green diver trainer.
Looky! There's a bubble in his hand ;)
Okay, neverminf the bubble. They swim to the ship and battle there.
After the green diver was defeated, he got back into the water.
Simon also get back into the water.
He swims there...
And encounters the blue diver trainer.
They go to the surface and fight.
This one also goes back into the water after getting beaten up.
When Simon dives again, he encounters the white diver.
They go to the ship and fight there.
And the white diver is still holding the algae he was attached to!
After getting defeated, the white diver jumps into the water. Still with the algae.
Simon swims to the surface.
He takes off the diving equipment...
...and goes straight to the boss.
But wait! There's the famous Spongebob Sokoban riddle!
He pushes this Spongebob into the hole.
As well as this one.
No, wait! He reverses the last move.
He pushes this one instead.
Then this one is pushed into the other hole...
...creating the possibility of this Spongebob being thrown to the water.
The Spongebob falls there (he was originally meant to be guarded by the blue diver Simon defeated earlier).
Simon dives there, takes the Spongebob...
...and puts him into this underwater crane spot (it was originally meant to be guarded by the white diver Simon defeated earlier).
Simon gets back on the ship.
He goes up the stairs...
and to the upper deck.
He uses the underwater crane to pull the Spongebob out.
He pulls him higher... And higher!
And then voila! The Spongebob is here again.
He pushes the Spongebob here...
...and gets to the boss.
Uh... There's too little space to fight! Let's go to the main deck.
Final battle alert!
When the leader is defeated, Simon get the Water badge and the TM for Water Pulse.
