Entry for the NEOS tournament. Not my best work, but if I make it to round two i'll spend more time on my entry.

The "Eagle" Infantry Support Gunship is a light rotary craft used my most of the NEOS Army as a squad-deploying transport. Originally developed for civilian use, the Eagle was quickly adopted by many NEOS armies as a fast, agile support vehicle. The Eagle is utilized in groups of 2-3 to deploy patrols and squads. Against enemy air support, this craft reigns supreme, flying at an astonishing 300 mph when no infantry is present in the troop bay. Its main armament is a General-Purpose M273 "Hellfire" machine gun mounted on the left side of the craft. Delivering a whopping 2,000 rounds a minute from 4,000 round ammunition canisters, this weapon is guaranteed to put holes in any enemy fighter jet. However, this gunship does fairly poor against armored ground targets, as modern tanks are quite resistant to bullets.
