As a Tolkien lover, I see it an honor to build his stuff in Lego. I've seen two of the three movies, but am watching the third one tonight. I love Fellowship, but thought The Two Towers was long and depressing. I build according to how I imagine it, not from Peter Jackson's interpretation.

About this creation

My Balrog.

Gollum. I will always have a spot in my heart for Gollum. I played him in a play of The Hobbit. I do not like how Gollum was done in the movie. He was too "hissy." My voice is more british. Figure out how that works.

Gandalf's beard is made from cotton and his mustache is gray fur that I pulled off of the head of an Albert Einstein action figure. I put a piece of scotch tape over the face before glueing the fuzz on.

"Alive without breath
As cold as death.
Never thirsty,
Ever drinking,
All in mail,
Never clinking."

Legolas' bow is a flick fire missile attached to a gray clip-stud with horns on both sides.

"And My Ax."

This one is pretty self explanatory.

Pippin is in front, Merry is in back.

The ring that Frodo is holding is the top half of a key painted gold.

He is just awesome. The chaps are made of duct tape. I usually use them for clone commanders.

Goblins are creepy. DUH!!!

Though most people imagine him huge, I imagine the Balrog of Morgoth relatively small in this scene, but he has the ability to grow larger. When reading The Silmarillion, I imagined the Balrogs bigger.

Here is the bridge. I imagine it with more buttresses than the movie credits it with.

Love the Balrog, love the fellowship, and love everything LOTR. Also,where did you get Boromir's and Aragorn's cool sword's? (along with the one on Gimli's axe)

I like it, though from the books description it said about the Balrog, "...suddenly it drew itself up to a great height, and its wings were spread from wall to wall..." Anyway, good creation, though I really liked Andy Serkis's adaptation of Sm�agol's voice, but each to their own.

I have considered it, but I personally like LOTR better and am focusing on that for the present. What I love about your collection is that you do include Silmarillion stuff.

I think Gollum should be a minifigure, Return of the King was a great movie, tops the charts of all movies, you must watch it, Gandalf looks a little strange with that beard, I notice the Balrog doesn't look bulky like the movie, but that is because it is based upon your interpretation of the book. Once again...watch The Return of the King, it is worth it.
