About this creation

For the entire incident description, please visit My Blog. A high-rise fire that started the night of November 14TH, 2010 was one of the largest incidents ever seen by WRF/R. By the end, all of WRF/R's apparatus was on-scene, along with Mt. Lego Engines 1+2, Chowderville Tanker 1, Brickhall Engine 2, and Lego County Fire Department's Ladder 2, Engine 2, Tanker 4, and Foam Trailer 4. New Lego Fire Department's Investigation 1 is en route to the scene. Incident Command was set up on Main Street but was pushed back to Park Avenue when Mutual Aide was called for. The end result of the incident was a complete collapse of the structure, leading to minor or major structural damage to surrounding buildings. Apparatus damage was as follows: Engine 1 suffered major scratching of the paint on the right side of the body, Ladder 1 suffered major paint and windshield melting on the front of the cab, Utility 3 suffered major paint melting on the side of the body, and Utility 1 suffered minor dents and scratches. Many FF's visited the Rehab station for heat exhaustion. the debris field from the building is spread across a quarter mile radius from the collapse site. Eight victims were sent via Medevac to North Lego Medical Center. No civilian or FF injuries were reported.

Nice incident overall. My favorite part is how you put that plastic wrap inside the building to make it looks like the windows were smashed. One thing to point out though, the street was very crowded, but a bit of spacing would solve it. Well done. |

Just to clear some things up, silver helmets are chiefs and battalion chiefs, black helmet is the fire marshal, white helmets are all the FF's, and blue hats are the medics. The orange-suited crew is the Haz-Mat assesment team. |

Huh? They were sent just as a precaution. All the rescued victims were in stable condition but you can never be too careful! |

Well I actually built Nick's I1, and I ran out of chassis for small apparatus. And as for the repair, Both the engine and ladder are headed back to Pierce for the paint. Utility 3 is going to be repainted at a local shop.. But I might keep the battle scars for a while... |

Thanks for calling in the boys, James! But make it Mt. Lego Engine 1+31 (since Engine 2 and 4 are OOS until the KME's arrive). I'm also glad that your guys had a collapse zone planned out. Great incident overall! -Lee
Oops, that was supposed to say Engines 1+3. Hah lol. I'm working on mop up right now. It's taking so long! |
