LEGO Halo Pelican on LDD
Pelican: It's big, it's bad, and it's dropping of soldiers in a battlefield near YOU!
About this creation
Well, it's finally here! The moment we've all been waiting for! Enough drama, onto the show. After 1 and a half weeks of grueling planning, building, modding and capturing, the Pelican is finally complete. In my humble opinion, I think it's 3 studs too long and 2 studs too thin, but you guys can have other thoughts.

I would like to especially make a tribute to Dominic Zola, who had, in phase 2, critiqued the controversial "fish-shaped" body of the pelican. Well, dominic, I hoped I fixed it and I especially hope you like it, and thank you for bringing this up to mind.

Here we have a head-on view, or Phantom view, of the Pelican. It's a massive thing, which will be shown through other pictures, so I was worried on how stable this thing actually is. To have it finished now, I take it as pretty stable, with the exception of the rotating wings being a little bit floppy. Here it's pretty obvious that 12-stud width was probably better than 10 stud.

A top view of the Pelican. Another thing I noticed was the wings were too big, however, it coincidentally makes the whole thing the correct width because the body is too thin! Ignoring this, I take this as the absolute best picture and the one closest to scale.

Here's a side view of the beast, very similar to Phase 2. I did cut down 4 stud off of phase 2, though, because I knew it was too long (and even still it is). The slopes on the top and of the troop bay opening are perfect, though.

Here's a closer shot of the inner wing and the thruster apparatus thingy next to it.

This is the worst image, but nevertheless it shows a Banshee from behind view. You can also see the thrusters on the back of each wing.

Bottom view, also showing more thrusters but giving away the thinner body. I wish I could have made it wider, but by phase 2 I was very tentative on ripping the whole inner foundation apart and starting again.

Troop bay shot! All I need are some soldiers. You may have noticed that I forgot to put the hatch/ramp that helps soldiers deploy out of the Pelican. Whoops.

Another whoops. Somehow I forgot to cover the white bricks under there.

Here's a rudimentary cut shot of the troop bay, showing the walls and some mechanics. Very boring though; I didn't really want to put that much effort into it. If any of you guys want to update it and stuff, take the download link and spice it up, show it to the world! And show credit of course.

Here's a shot of the cockpit with the Grey Man Group inside. It can seat two people very comfortably. (and did you know the floor of the cockpit is studs-down?)

A shot of the curvy curves there. Even from the primitive phase 1 I could tell the slopes would be absolutely beautiful.

Here's a closer shot of the wing and the thrusters under it. Just to make all of you Pelican builders cry in joy. :P

A comparison shot of the Pelican to Warthog. That's actual size, bro!

An overhead comparison shot of the Falcon to the Pelican, which we can see the Falcon is rather puny.

So that's it! I hoped you guys loved it, because in my opinion, this is even better than my Revenant, the best thing on my page. I hope you guys love it too.

And don't forget to check out my other Halo LDD creations!

==EDIT== William Pugh requested it should fight against some Banshees. This lone Banshee somehow got caught in THIS situation.

Um, when I clicked on the LDD instructions, it went to a page where it gave a "file not found/page does not exist" message. So I was wondering if the link was broken or something. Please try to fix this so I can see your awesome creation! Thanks! (Here is the url for the error message) http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/60272/1290620941m.lxf

Quoting Commando Fog Do The Insurrection Have Vehicles Too?
Depends on what they can get their hands on. Sometimes they steal military vehicles, sometimes normal citizen vehicles, and sometimes no vehicles at all. Make the vehicle look sort of old and rusty, to show that the Innies really needed everything they could get.

Quoting Perfect Lego As much as I hate Halo, I would be a fool to say that this isn't a magnificent creation. Were you going for the Halo 1 (best in the series IMO) Pelican look? Oh, and Thank you for posting the instructions, could I possibly modify it, post it, and give you credit?
I was going for a Halo 1 frontal part and Halo 3 wing, cockpit, troop bay, and back thrusters. The Halo 1 version's roof is more sloped, but I think I went a little overboard. You are completely allowed to change it...just remember to put credit. Thanks!

Just as a pointer, the frontal machine gun is not there because it's really not even visible, this is the D77H-TCI (Halo 3) Pelican, and it's only one of a few to-scale pelicans on MOCpages.
