I had a feeling a while back to make my own version of Gringat. So, I did one, but as little as you know me, I made the unusual instead of usual, so I made a colossus form for Gringat. So it's quite literally 'my own version'. I have 2 colossus made before him, and yes, they're a species of mine related to Comet of Treads, though no official ones for the line are made yet. One of my better creations I say. I had to look some of the Gringat's forms to make this. You might notice I altered some details from his different forms to this guy. When you see it you'll... be like 'oh, that'.

Gotta be honest here. I love building colossus :D I just love their anatomy, design and overall. I could possibly do colossus versions of other people's selfmocs in the future, but for now I might have different plans.
Blocking.
Anatomy round.
The pistons on elbows was an experiment for supporting the elbow from the outer side. When the arms are straightened, the pistons sticks out bit awkwardly, but while arms are bent it's fine. The design needs a bit of modding.
The staff and the shield. Both are altered from the other forms of Gringat. I think I'll call the staff the "Hurricane Staff" :D
The shield is detachable and can be on the right arm as well.
Head detail. I could've put the neon green eyes Gringat has, but for the size, they didn't look too good, so I had neon red instead. Hope you're not mad Grings :(
Foot detail. My little experiment for feet, the upcurved toes. They look quite good.
Great build! I love the use of pistons and the overall design.I only think the lower part of the legs oculd use something to make it less thin... Maybe an amor or a bigger leg piece.

Also, just so you know, Gring's eyes should really be light blue, but I myself don't have the capacity to let him have them... so whatever. Also, the 'hurricane staff' would have to have a Tahnok-Kal or Kohrak-Kal shield on it to be canon, since Gravity falls under someone else's domain, but still... This is great, and I love seeing someone else's techniques used on Gring (which is why I don't make instructions for whole MOCs). I can imagine him assuming this form in a pinch... yeah. Good. And, all that. ^^
