Legonia-The Multhis
Excerpts from the journals of Dr. Rades.
About this creation

The following is an excerpt from the journals of the famous explorer Dr. Rades.

Within Legonia, in the Desert Harrazdin, there is a land known as the Multhis. It is a mysterious place-the magic wipes all of the locations from the memories of travelers. For this reason, I am chronicling here a few of the things which I have seen in Multhis, so that others may learn about this land.

In the sky

On the first day through the land, I saw ships of skeletal pirates in the sky. I do not know how they can be in the sky, but they remain about a mile from the ends of this land. They do not go far inside, and they are of no danger to travelers. They do puzzle me, though. How do they remain afloat? How do octopi pull ships of dead men, being creatures of the sea-in the middle of a desert. They scare me, and I only continue onwards because I am in danger if I leave.

Time Travels?

As I travelled further, I saw a warrior who could not have been from our time. I remained far away, because I am only an explorer and he looked very fierce. Could he be from the future? Can this place warp time?

Above him was a strange reptilian beast which could not possibly exist. It looked like something from a history scroll that I had read when I was young, but if it was from the past, how did one get here?

The Conflicting Civilizations

As we traveled deeper into the Multhis, we found two thriving civilizations, which was very surprising due to the insane nature of the lands. They were each a subgroup of humans and trolls.

The Desert Tribe, or the Anubans, build marvelous architecture reminiscent of a bygone era. They have a large amount of gold, and use curved swords. They collect rare birds, and I had the pleasure to enter their city as a free person and exit it both free and with my head on my shoulders.

They build marvelous spiral staircases that are surprisingly sturdy. The Anubans also make use of arches and the natural desert sandstone. The trolls, on the other hand, build nothing, and prefer to break than to build.

Trolls

I have identified two species of troll. I had to keep my distance, but I have provided some sketches here.

The first variety, the White Troll, is weaker but more cunning. They are still not very intelligent, but prefer non-edged weapons so that they can go on punishing the creatures for a longer amount of time. They do not lead, but are fine with the arrangement as long as they get their share of fighting.

The Black Trolls are stronger and less intelligent, but are much more dangerous. They use spiked and edged weapons for quick kills, and are both surprisingly fast on their feet (even carrying huge and heavy weapons) and very resilient-I witnessed an Anuban fighting a Black Troll and with two sword slashes barely scratched his skin. The Black Trolls tend to lead, but always allow a fair share of kills for the White Trolls.

The Anuban Jackal Warriors are strange being created through a ritual unknown to me. According to their priests, the toughest warriors are sent on an extraordinary journey, and if they complete it, they transform and become much faster and more powerful. However, the journey is extremely deadly and if any but the chosen try to embark on it, they are eaten alive by envoys of the Anuban God. They use Curved swords, and are extremely fast-the Anuban Jackal Warriors are some of the most deadly humans I have seen, and their speed is even greater than that of wolves.

For the greatest Anuban Warriors, they do not embark on a journey-they train with the High Priest, who was once both a priest and a Warrior. If they survive their training, these powerful warriors also gain the powers of priests, and serve as the High Priest's Guard. They are extremely loyal, and must be, for by law one of them would replace the High Priest but if they were greedy and disloyal, they would murder each other relentlessly. The High Priest's Guard use simple sticks, but be warned-they have the power to project energy blades along their weapons, and for this reason, they use special sticks which are extremely durable in order to prevent the shattering of their weapons. These blades are more deadly than most magic swords, and the warriors themselves are extremely strong and fast. On their backs, they carry strange swords, but avoid using these as it is instinctual to project energy through their weapons, and damages most weapons, including these. I once watched as a High Priest's Guard attacked a wandering mad troll, projecting energy blades along his inside. Gashes appeared along his body, and he screamed in pain as his organs were ground to shreds.

The High Priest, whom I had the pleasure of meeting, is a wizened man. Beneath those robes are powerful muscles and an incredibly sharp intellect-I believe that he is the only one who understands the true nature of the Multhis. However, the meeting was brief.

The Tomb

The Anuban Priests directed us inwards, and as we traveled further, our party found a tomb. There were images of Dark Warriors, although they flew away as we went near. Perhaps they serve a darker purpose.

One of our group, a foolhardy soldier who wished to make a name for himself (eerily, I can't seem to remember his name now) entered the cave. As soon as he entered, we heard a crashing and a scream.

The head of a giant snake popped out, breathing fire. We fled, not wishing to share his fate.

The area around the tomb was covered in foliage, which is odd, considering that it's not an oasis and it's in the middle of the desert. There were some small lifeforms, although they were few in number.

The Dark Guards are dark, shadowy beings who are constantly surrounded by shadows. We do not know their true names, but we do know that they are extremely powerful and serve a deadly purpose. We are lucky that they left us alone, perhaps they believe that we will not leave anyways? The Dark Guards carry black swords, similar to those of the High Priest's Guards. They have glowing orange wings, and wear a strange armor. I wish that I could say more, but as we leave the place my memories grow hazy...

After a day's travel

I know that our group is nearing the edge-we can see some of the skeletal pirate ships in the distance. We passed a settlement of Anubans, but they left us alone. Unfortunately, I can't remember much more of them. Now, as we begin to journey back, our memories are fading. Two more of our group had sunk into the sands, and we saw no more of them. I barely remember who they are.

Last Entry

As I got near the Pirate ships, the world around me faded. I was lifted up into the air, and I saw the pirate captains. They are alive. And very, hungry. I am writing this while in their cells, and will throw this down from there when I am done writing this. This must be the reason that so few return.
End of Excerpt-by law, it is forbidden to enter The Multhis. It is very dangerous, and not worth risking. We will have guards a few miles away to warn you and do not attempt to pass. It is not worth your lives.

This feels incredibly out of place in Legonia... But nice Moc otherwise!

very good. I loved the spiral staircase.

Ok then. Then let's put them on the eastern continent. Desert hazzradin eternos or aside it. There's more place and it's easier to fit in the history. the god can join the eastern pantheon then.

Quoting Christian Schlichting Nice story and creations but needs some improvements to fit in Legonia: First, the forgotten kingdom has no desert, let's put the multhis more to the north of it somewhere in the ark'tohlian desert (The city could be a lost ruin now somewhere under the sand, maybe near ba'ku oasis? The Anubian god is one of the lost in the ark'tohl pantheon then.) Bigger problem are the piraka. Legonia already has trolls http://christians-welt.bplaced.net/wikiLegonia/index.php/Trolls living on the eastern continent so we have to rename your creatures. My last question is: Are the ANubians an own race or a human tribe with transformed individuals?
Okay, the movement is fine. The Trolls are a subgroup of them-I said that they are a variant. The Anubans are just humans. The Anuban God can be in a lost pantheon, but it should be a current city.
