British Fort
A fort charged with protecting the Colonies of the British Empire from renegades and pirates.
About this creation
This is a work in progress.. I threw a few figs on it to make it more interesting. I just wanted to get used to my camera and try different angles, and I was looking for an excuse to post something; I have been inactive recently. For this build, I've run out of ideas. Suggestions would be helpful. However, I reserve the right to laugh anyone with silly suggestions off the page, and blatantly disregard idiotic ideas such as turning it into an "awesum C10n3 Tr00p3r B@$3" or something to do with Halo. Also, please only give suggestions if you have some half-decent MOCs on your page, not 30 pictures of 4 bricks thrown together and called the Eye of Chaos. Please.

"And that my liege, is how we know the world to be banana - shaped."

THE STORY
Pirates are attacking a fort vital to the protection of Great Britain's colonies. A battle ensues.

A clearer shot than the main pic, good angles. You can see the hole in the fort more clearly, and a british soldier falling on the right.

I love this shot. I know its kinda blurry, but its cool that you can see the soldier on the wall in the backround. The guy in the middle is doing a patrol

I like the pirate with the red epaulettes. Typical antagonist.

Here we see a pirate crossing swords with a British soldier, and another pirate shooting a soldier.

"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of eldeberry!" (<- is that right?)

Birds eye view.

A ground view. 2nd favorite shot.

A pirate sneaks up on a british soldier with a knife, disguised.

Soldier shooting through a hole created by a cannonball.

Didn't all the 18th century british forts have vents?

Pirate running off the boat to help their fellows.

An officer fires cannons at a Pirate Ship not included in this MOC.

A scene of pirates storming the shore.

My favorite part of the MOC. Yep, these brick type things. Called Legas or soemthing. Just kidding. The grey 2x1s. I have no idea what that technique is called...... Anyone?

End with some more birds eye views.

Again, any suggestions. [refer to above]

Well thats it. You're free to go back to looking at your De1t@ Sqad C10n3 C0mm@nnd0 Sniper Jedi Generals or something.

Quoting Matthew Novosad You realize your speaking to a future archeologist, right? Not bur srsly I am planning on that for a career. So history is my thing too.
I suppose. I think that I wouldn't do as good as I did (I think) on this if I wasn't into it so...

Quoting Matthew Novosad Hmm, spastle is partially history. It is space a castle, I actually love building in History too, just I haven't in a while.
I like themes that seem plausible... but I respect the factthat others have what they like to build. You'llfind that I will mostly build castle pirates, and chess sets. I'm more into history guy.

Quoting Radioactive Rooster Very interesting and old-school build here! I would say for suggestions to build using different teqniques such as maybe building custom boats, etc. Maybe add an ammuntion crate here and there, a box of gunpowder, some rubble from the cannonball holes, etc. Can't wait to see the end result!
Custom Boats, as in customize the little boat I have in the corner? I have a really cool pirate ship I'm working on... I planned to have a big, big diorama type thing with an island and a few pirate ships...

No disrespect was intended toward you, you are nowhere near a cl0ni3. This is a really good moc, no doubt about it. I just can't resist a good cl0ni3 digging.

Quoting Tyler Halliwell This is really cool. it is nice that you have so many of the old pirate figure. I am jealous. The destruction of the fort looks really nice, as well as the shape in all. Very nice job.
First of all thanks. All of you. I appreciate the comments. I have many more classic pirates. Its my favorite theme.

Quoting Matthew Novosad I likey. It looks nice so far. I would try building in a new theme that you really have never built in. It helps.
Meh. Star Wars, or whatever. Bahumbug. Pirate castle, vikings, ninjas, and adventure type themes. Space police? PFFTTT.
