E.A.F. Light-Support "Maroon Wasp" Drone
My first aircraft to date. It is a drone, which means it is automated, which means I don't have much control over it, which means I'm not accountable if it destroys you or not, which means if I made enough of those I could rule the world! *insert evil laughter here* On a less frightening note, if you see any words with an "i" missing, it's probably because my keyboard is acting up and I skipped over it while checking it. Hopefully spell-check helps me there...
About this creation

Well, good morning/afternoon/evening ladies and gentlemen, as the CEO of the E.A.F. I am proud to present to you our first and greatest spectacle in military aviation: the Maroon Wasp. As you can (hopefully) see from this photo, he is a rather eensy teensy fellow, which is why he is a support drone. He does his job well, and we compare having him on our team as the day when you first got your dream appliance, the one that was nifty, trendy, fun, and had wireless internet access... He does too. He even acts as a router, but we didn't photograph that, it's a classified feature.

Ah, side view. *Please, no comments on the placement of the rocket on the bottom * From this angle we can perceive all of the Maroon Wasp's stunning weaponry. Which is only three, as it is a light aircraft.

From this angle it looks a lot like some insect to me, hence the name perhaps. Also, for the first time in a while, I liked my pictures of this one.

I'm also glad that I managed to build something that at least looked somewhat like a helicopter, as I'd never done one before. While a small build, it was fun. Without some of the hassles as perhaps a larger project might contain.

It appears that we have arrived at the front sensors of the aircraft, stunning pieces of technology if I do say so myself. These three sensors give the Maroon Wasp a stunning 3D picture of its environment, letting it see almost as we do. The only thing it can't do is blink. Also, it has ESP, standing for Environmental Sensory Paraphernalia. In other words, it uses special sensors to sense the places the front 3D sensors can't see.

Here we have our anti-infantry machine gun (the other is on the opposite side). With extra ammunition integrated in what I like to call the shoulder pads, this baby can fire off about...well I don't know how fast it can fire, but it does the job.

The tail. You could say I didn't spend much time on it, and you would be partially correct. Regardless, at least it turned out well...

The main rotor was what I started with. Sometimes I just start building something random and slowly I get builder's fever and before I know it I'm constructing a helicopter. Thanksgiving break also helped a bit as well.

Time for the M715-i "Annihilator" Air-to-Ground missile. For since the Maroon Wasp wasn't built for taking on tanks, one shot with this and the tank goes kaboom. Vice versa too; the Maroon Wasp doesn't have much armor on it either.

Side shot. In case any others wish to make a wise-crack on the shape of this missile, I ask again that you do not.

Overhead shot, really one of my favorites.

This point of view could very well be the last sight of some enemy soldier, lookin' down da barrel of da gun. I forgot to mention in the section about the front sensors, but the Maroon Wasp does have a blind spot, and that is directly behind and directly above. Of course, it is rare that any enemy is able to get there...

Since infantry is what the Maroon Wasp was built to support, infantry is what this picture has. Sort of. On the left we have our hired mercenary, Ima Rhamanass. I don't know whether his mother named him that, or if he changed his name, but whatever, none of my business I guess. If you can't see it from this angle, I used a technique from Andrew Somers for his right arm. (HIS right, not YOUR right) He says it got blown up, but I think his rabid kangaroo bit it off when he forgot to feed it. For the gun I have to (begrudgingly) concede credit to 000. And on the right we have an E.A.F. weapons specialist. Not much really to say here, only that he looks a lot like somebody from a sci-fi movie or something.

And a surprise! Not only is this drone able to fly, but to swim. When the Maroon Wasp wants to submerge, it slowly enters the water, and then releases the main rotor. The rotor floats, so it can resurface and fly again should the need arise. Its tail is (let's make believe here) somewhat flexible, therefore allowing it to swim like a shark. The rear propeller helps it turn faster.

I sometimes ask him to go catch me some fresh mahi-mahi. He's good at it too, when I remember to tell the technicians to make sure the bullets aren't lead...

I will say that the Annihilator doesn't work the same when under water, it is slower, but still is fun to deploy! Sometimes I just ask it nicely to blow something up, and you can see the water just fly up like a 100 foot fountain. Once we even got a dolphin on top of that fountain, and boy was it a kodak moment.

And finally, as a parting shot, we have the Maroon Wasp flying again. This was to be my main photo, but as a last second decision I decided I liked the other one better as a main photo.

Fourth Wall Rambles:
Before I babble off, I want to apologize to all of you for not posting something sooner. I have had school work and such preventing me, along with other various activities. I have another creation that should (if I can fix those annoying pictures) come out before the new year. Thank you to all who commented, I hope you all had an excellent Thanksgiving like I did. Now, to those who did NOT comment, get commenting before I send a regiment of trained waffle assassins to your door step.

"Constructive criticism is welcome" you siad, well I have none! I'm a good builder but I couldn't hope of building something like this! I love how you made the michanics of the copter really stand out, a vary nice toch. For a guy who has never built an air vehicle before you did a great job, no a perfict job! Hope I didn't miss any "i"s ether, although if I did than it is user error, lol. Keep up the good work and try and get that keybord fixed!
