This MOC shall demonstrate how my little SigFiggy looks like in detail. Originally I had built this for the comic ’The Adventures of Skip Lemington’, but I don´t like the whole idea anymore. So this is an old MOC, but at least it´s good for something now.
About this creation
My SigFiggy is the one on the left. He´s basically the unshaved space cop with the surfer´s hairpiece. His ’goldfish bowl’ helmet is from SpongeBob (Sandy).
This was the day he left earth (in 1954) to land on the moon. Prof. Dr. Hans Zauselmann (right) had invented the rocket ship ’Z-Spike’, which had to start from Collins Beach Park. The major (middle) announced the great event.
At least some citizens came. Almost nobody in Collins Beach really cared.
Here we can see the airtanks. Since the regular airtanks didn´t fit with the huge helmet, I had to build them from a neck bracket with back stud and a binocular.
Several (typical) problems occured while building the launching pad. It was too close to the park statue for example, so the statue became part of it.
Also it wasn´t finished for the big day.
This is Prof. Dr. Zauselmann´s helper and my SigFiggy´s friend: The Zauselbot or Z-Bot
Here we can see my SigFiggy shaved. This is also okay.
And again his airtanks, while he´s waving good bye to the citizens of Collins Beach.
In spite of all the high-tech, it´s a bit degrading how he enters the Z-Spike.
Even more embarrassing: The cockpit wouldn´t close. Z-Bot had to climb onto it and jump up and down.
Okay, that´s it. I´ll probably build some vigs and deos from the story, but not a comic. Then again, who knows ...
...the post that has at least half of MOCpages thinking "another victim!" You can probably count on all kinds of abuse now that this has been posted... but free publicity is free publicity. I love the builds for this dio... they're simply stunning, and the humorous elements (the extra "M," the incomplete brickwork, etc) are a wonderful touch.
