Shelby Cobra
I liked the Brick-on-Brick scheme of the Official Volkswagen Beetle Set, so I used it to build a Shelby Cobra.
About this creation

The front, I didn't really follow any picture taking method...

...so basically here's a whole page of random shots.

The curvy fenders

The side, a bit hard to get this shot, as I'm sitting smushed on the wall and I somehow need to move the camera back farther...

... 'ats better.

The back, with plenty of detailing.

Still a Volkswagen license plate, hmmm.

Another low-down back shot.

Everything opens up nice and easy.

The V-8 with a hose connecting it to the radiator.

The highly detailed interior, with...(oh boy)

Steering wheel, gas pedal, brake pedal, clutch pedal, shifter, emergency brake, spedometer, tachometer, radio with controls, glove box, seats, lap seat belts, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Notice the shifter has 6 different slots it can move into. 1,2,3,4,R,N gears...no real transmission though...

The trunk, maximum roomyiness.

Zoomed out a bit.

Notice how the roll cage back-bar bends slightly to the left? It's supposed to, just like the real thing.

The gas cap, which should be chrome but I don't have that much chrome. =(

Tire-in-a-tire, which isn't my idea but I'm using the rubber here and the hard plastic as a spaceship engine so it works out just fine.

Some random shot

At this point I'm running out of caption ideas...

...and really hoping I didn't botch the html...again...

...I mean it'd be the 3rd time IN A ROW...

...which is absolutely obnoxious to fix...

Alright, this i can work with! Some people on the 'pages brag about their fancy drinks, HOWEVER, I brag about my super-duper, totally-rad, epically epicful Tic-Tac collection (for now, anyway);).

This is pretty realistic for a LEGOŽ model!

For the most part yes, but I didn't limit myself to just parts from that set.

I do agree about beefing up the engine, and I don't like the use of paint or sharpie or stickers or whatever that is to make the stripe down the middle, but otherwise I have no complaints about this. It looks a lot like the real thing, great work.

Very nice! I love the detail you put into this but the engine is a bit to simple, maybe some headers or something like that just to make it look more detailed. But very good Cobra proberly one of the best on MOCpages. Keep up the great work

I really like the classic Lego look with the studs, and the color scheme. I agree that the engine could be more detailed, but overall this is a fantastic looking car; nice job!

Great Cobra, and I love the studs!

On the one hand it looks like classy LEGO due to the full studs, on the other hand the used colors give its up-to-dateness right away...a very appealing effect in my opinion. Tan interior, chromed roll-bar and racing stripe underline a good design, although I would have NEVER painted the white plates THIS way! Considering the huge amount of space under the front hood you might add MUCH more details to the engine...give it a try! Greetings, Jens
