Over 150 thousand years ago, after the Destruction of the Cylon Colony, the Rebel Cylon Baseship and it's Centurions left Earth.
About this creation
During that time, they explored the Galaxy, recording various astronomical anomalies, and looking for signs of life.
When their radiological detectors activated, it took time to interpret the data. It wasn't the first time such an activation had happened, but it was the first time that the signal had come from Earth.
In spite of the great distance, the radiation from the first experiments in Nuclear Weapons at the end of World War II had traveled to the Baseship. This occurred in the same way that the warhead detonation over New Caprica had alerted the Cylons to the Colonials' secret location.
Over the course of Millennia, the individual Centurions acquired unique personality traits, often in the reflection of the Humanoid Cylons with which they had interacted so long ago. Therefore, when the signal was confirmed to the crew's satisfaction, a debate took place as to how they should proceed.
Some felt that they should leave the Humans to themselves. Others thought that guidance would be needed to curb their self destructive behavior. They were unaware that the Galactica hadn't been destroyed and was recently discovered in the Asteroid Belt. Yet some thought that the problem of the Humans should be eliminated once and for all. Ultimately they all agreed that further observation was required...
The Hybrid, a semi conscious Humanoid in control of the Baseship's systems, activates the FTL drive.

Enjoying the story so far. Can't get over how sweet these builds are. Also, did you generate these background shots, or are they public domain shots? They're either well-made or well-hunted.
Missed you comment! I found the backgrounds online, and yes, took a while to find what I was after. Thanks!
