Philippine Jeepney
Here is my entry for the 2nd Official Contest that is taking place in the TFOL Private Club. Enjoy!
About this creation
The topic of the contest(which was my idea) was to create a MOC with a 16X16 to 32X32 base that showed something(whether people, places or food) famous about your country. Representing the Philippines, I built a Philippine Jeepney and added custom minifigs of some famous Filipinos artound it.

Jeepneys are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating. They have become a symbol of Philippine culture.

The custom minifigs in this MOC are sorted by their gender. First, to the female side.

Name: Lea Salonga
Lea Salonga-Chien (born February 22, 1971) is a Filipino singer and actress. She is best known for her musical role Kim in Miss Saigon, for which she won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World Awards. She was also the singing voice of Princess Jasmine from Aladdin (1992) and Mulan for Mulan (1998) and Mulan II (2004).

Name: Charice Pempengco, commonly as Charice only
Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco (born May 10, 1992), better known as Charice, is a Filipina singer who rose to popularity through YouTube. Dubbed by Oprah Winfrey as the Most Talented Girl in the World, she is the first solo Asian artist in history to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart. Crossing over to television acting, she has appeared on the TV series Glee where she plays a guest star named Sunshine Corazon

Name: Corazon Aquino
Maria Corazon Sumulong Cojuangco-Aquino (January 25, 1933 August 1, 2009) was the 11th President of the Philippines and the first woman to hold that office. She is best remembered for leading the 1986 People Power Revolution, which toppled the authoritarian regime of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos and restored democracy in the Philippines. The People Power Revolution inspired many people worldwide and led to non-violent revolutions happening in Poland, East Germany, China and many more. She is revered by many Filipinos as an icon of democracy and was hailed by TIME Magazine in 1986 as its 'Woman of the Year.'

Now, over to the male side.

Name: Manny Pacquiao
Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao (born December 17, 1978), also known as Manny Pacquiao, is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He is an eight-division world champion, the first boxer in history to win ten world titles in eight different weight divisions. He is also the first boxer in history to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. He was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2000's by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). He is also a three-time BWAA and The Ring "Fighter of the Year" in 2006, 2008 and 2009. Currently, Pacquiao is the WBC Super Welterweight World Champion and WBO Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion). He is also currently rated as the "number one" pound-for-pound best boxer in the world by several sporting news and boxing websites.

Name: Arnel Pineda
Arnel Pineda (born September 5, 1967) is a Filipino singer-songwriter and is currently the lead singer of the American rock band Journey. Pineda has had a successful musical career in Asia for the last 25 years. Journey has been responsible for creating hits like Don't Stop Believin' and Open Arms.

Name: Benigno Aquino III
Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III (born February 8, 1960) also known as Noynoy Aquino or PNoy, is the fifteenth and current President of the Philippines. His parents were the late former President Corazon Aquino and the late former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr.

More pictures of the jeepney. The jeepney will be posted as a separate MOC next week.

Look at all the colors! Blue, white, red, yellow: The colors of the Philippine flag.

The interior. Minifgs are able to sit inside with headroom.

The 16X32 base. It is the Philippine flag.

This was a fun and challenging build(the jeepney). Hope you enjoyed my entry. I hope the judges find my MOC worthy of being the winning entry.

PLEASE RATE AND COMMENT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Your best build so far! First off, you pulled that jeepney very well. Being able to fit minifig pasaheros is cool! Cool selection of minifig depictions, too. Charice, Lea, and Cory, woohoo! Now if one of those gals were Regine, I would have protested. I was about to 'tae' my pwet with the Pacquiao minifig. That was funny! It looks just like him. Great presentation as well including the flag base! Mabuhay!

Good work on this, I've only seen these things on TV and stuff, but I can imagine they would be a fun form of transportation.
