My entry for the 16-100 pieces category in Yuri Fassio's Spinning Top Contest 2010.
About this creation
This is Ed's greatest (and only) invention. It's a stick that you insert into the middle of a toast with a butter pat, spin the toast using it, and the butter is distributed equally to all the sides of the toast. Oh, who am I kidding? Very random idea, I'm not sure what came over me.
It stands on one stud! Once it gets its balance, it doesn't even wobble.
It spins much better tham I expected. It's average spinning time is 45 seconds, but it once spun for almost a minute.
It's made of 48 parts. In the beginning I wanted to shrink it to 15 parts, but I didn't manage to do it.
Rolf: A buttered toast spinner? Is it the end of the world already? A sea cucumber spinner I understand, but a toast?
(Rolf and the diorama aren't parts of the MOC - I made them for a completely different occasion.)
Which one's the real one? Bet you can't tell!

Kudos for the most unusual concept design for a top. Now the only question is Ed smart enough to wait for the toast to stop spinning before he tries to eat it? My money's on no!
