Concrete German Bunker (WWII)
Just in time for Christmas, I'm posting my concrete German bunker, straight out of the Ardennes!
About this creation

A 3/4 view.

Another 3/4 view.

The left side of the bunker.

Looking in. The reason it's so dark is because there is a heavy steel door down the hall.

Back view. The snow is beginning to fall into the small trench.

The right side. To give the snow on the roof a bit more life, I added different amounts in some sections and made some smooth (vs rough).

The machine gun port. I used SNOT to connect wedge pieces sideways and friction fit them at the middle.

The PaK38 port. Just big enough for the gun's barrel to fit through.

The PaK38 itself. I'm really liking this, and don't see myself taking it apart any time soon.

The big steel door I was blabbing about earlier.

The machine gun port, from the inside.

From left to right: A wooden table with a Kraut writing a letter and listening to the radio, an MP40, a Gehwer battle rifle, and a fuel can.

A lamp and the troop's gear-bag.

"...these are a few of my favorite things..."

Overview of the interior.

Thanks for sticking with me. I really enjoyed this build, although it took me about a week of work. I would strongly appreicate it if you rate, comment, and all that good stuff.

Anyways, have a very, merry, Christmas!

Quoting Exitrooper™ . This is great. U should use this in a 'Battle of the Bulge' Diorama.
It's an honor to hear that from you! But, sadly, I have destroyed this to make my North Africa dio and Bren Carrier, so that BotB dio will have to wait for later.

Quoting beanbag 97 [MOC] Very good Jacob, it looks very complex too. Are we still having the WWII Artillery Contest?
I don't think so, sadly, though I do want to host a much better/bigger WWII contest soon.

<<<< Quoting Alex Mac I really like the slitted viewport on the right, and this wouldn't be nearly as complete without the snow!
Thanks! The port took me a while to figure out. Also, I'm glad I went with a Christmas scene too!

Quoting Kriss Olympis Ooooooh! Very nice to see it has an interior! Something about the outside isnt just right, but I cant put my finger on it so oh well. I like the AT Gun port, just a very nice build! =)
Thanks a bunch! I really admire you on the Pages, and knowing that you were somewhat impressed makes me glad. I think what is wrong with the outside is the lack of texture in front...
