4099 transforming jet - Bluesky
4099 Robobot alternate creation; transforming jet into robot mecha - Bluesky
About this creation
Inspired by Paul D'Urbano his transformer I decided to try to build one too, but this time only using parts of the 4099 Robobot designerset. The result is this transforming jet, called Bluesky.
Also the instructions for this easy to build mecha are available, so now anybody can play with this more than just another robot thing!

This is really inspiring. 4099 seems to be the best set for designing transforming robots because it contains lots of joints and rotating functions. I will rise to the challenge, get the set, and make one of my own! I might even try to modify your design and find a place for that gun!

I saw you mention this on someone elses transformer moc so I had to hunt it down because I have just finished my first transformer. It was a real challenge but to build one from just one set must have been twice the challenge. It looks like a relatively simple transformation (unlike your lambo!) but is still very impressive. It has real character in robot mode and Jet mode looks great too. I love the thrusters/feet. I wish I had some of these Designer robot sets.

hey nate. gotta return the compliment you recently made on one of my models. this bluesky is a terrific example of a transforming model (something i'm trying to master right now) but all of your models are a great source of inspiration in showing what can be done with limited sources (sets) of bricks!!
