G.A.I.A. Heavy Destroyer "Thunder Bearer"
The "Thunder Bearer" is a G.A.I.A. Heavy Destroyer, designed to protect the assets of the Empire's fleet.
About this creation

The ship is fitted with a powerful armament of one mass drive cannon, one missile assembly, four axial cannons, ten flak towers, and ten anti-fighter guns on the underside.

The ship is equipped with powerful sensor and communication equipment, in order to make it an effect response ship to numerous threats, in any nearby sector.

The ship's three main engines are capable of matching the speeds of any of the fleets capital ships, to make it most effective in its role of defense.

The captains of these ships tend to be quite aggressive in combat, and have some specialized infantry aboard. Two of these are the F-STRIS(Free Space Tactical Reconnaissance and Insertion Squad) and Zero-G Marines. The F-STRIS are a heavily specified subgroup of the Zero-G Marines, focused on making jumps through open space, with no safety gear aside from a personal jetpack, from one ship to another. The Zero-G Marines are trained in in zero gravity combat techniques, often used when boarding a heavily damaged spacecraft, or in the event that their own ship is boarded, and as a defense measure gravity in the localized area is disabled.

Rookie: "So those are the jumpers we're making a breach for?"
Ace: "Thats right, so make sure your aim is good, or you'll have to deal with them."

Rookie: "You've got to agree, what they do is sexy. I wonder what they look like under the helmet..."
Ace: "Forget about it, those guys are too professional, and way too focused to give anyone but the C.O. the time of day."

Jumper1: "Mmm-mmm, pilots are so sexy, I'd love to get with one of them. What are my chances?"
Jumper2: "Hey man, focus! Besides if they ever saw you with that helmet off they'd be the ones jumping out the airlock."

The White Strike-FB, is the fighter bomber of choice when mistakes cannot be made. To operate the craft optimally, two pilots work in tandem. One flies the craft and operates the main weaponry, the other is responsible for navigation, battle management, and heavy ordinance control. The pilots often switch roles after each mission, so that each is fully qualified to operate either role. Partners often work together for years, and only switch out if one retires, opts to train rookie pilots, or is killed.

Found this whilst wandering around MOCpages this evening. It's a briliant micro-version of those massive Parrington Levens ships. Yours is still bristling with weapons and sports the colour schemw too. Neat work!

The funny thing is, my comment is right down there. I can't believe I forgot about this. :p Anyway, nice work again!

Great work on all the MOC's presented, some really nice styling on the first vessel and a classic colour scheme, reminds me of Starblazers.

A worthy addition to the G.A.I.A fleet in way possible. You incorporated everything Parrington does in his MOC's. I dare say I think that your dedication to the theme even surpasses my work for the group. I salute you.

You know this means that I am going to steal your t-joint turret design, right? Those pieces are the Swiss Army knife of LEGO elements.

A true G.A.I.A. ship and still your personal style comes through. The interior shot, with the marines, pilot chicks and the fighter bomber complete the whole picture. I totally love the way you´ve designed the weapons, I almost forgot that it is a micro-ship. Brilliant work, man! ~Cheers

Glad you all like, especially you Parrington, as this pretty much was built for you. Could be a long time before you see another one from me though, as while I was building this I discovered how limited my red and blue parts are. All I have left are bricks and plates. I'm also glad that you enjoyed the whole expriance, as I spent a lot of time looking through your capitals to get a better understanding of your designs, and tried to incorporate some of your style into it, like the bigger boxyer guns, the gray things that jut way out to the side, even including a propeller. It's also the same reason you get the interior an fighter along with the package.

My hat off to you Sir! Mate I'm very excited looking this, even the layout of your presentation (micro-scale, interior mock up and a bomber plane in mini-fig scale) just screams the theme! The ship is beautiful, and it just looks like it was a blast to build. Am I right? Love the fact it is dripping with weapons, just as a GAIA ship ought to be. Now you really won me over with great little romantic comedy, that's what sells tickets if you ask me... Way to go on the pilot uniforms and enjoyed the Zero G fighters screen time. Thanks for building this wonderful Moc for the GAIA group mate, I hope it turns some heads, cheers and happy new year!

Nice job! You've captured the theme pretty well from what I understand. I like the centerline and side arrangement of the turrets, gives you lots of options. Keep it up! -Ultra
