SHIP WIP
You may have noticed that I haven't been posting anywhere near as many mocs as I usually do. This is that SHIP project that I've been whining about in some of my newer mocs. I've been working on this project for around two months now and it'll probably be another month until it's finished. The main picture up there is the first WIP shot I took of it. It's a shot of the underbelly of the ship, where all six of the thrusters are located. Yes, that is my old sigfig in the center of it.
About this creation

Here are a few WIP pics of it in it's current state. As you can see, this is the top of it. You may also notice that the whole thing is built around a ring of train tracks.

This is the bridge. It's still a WIP but I'm pretty happy with it.

One of the top panels. That big box in the corner is supposed to be a fighter deployment hanger (still a WIP as well). When these panels are done, they will be covered in a mixture of greebles and tiling. It should look pretty good.

And finally, both back panels.

Oh, and all that ugly multi-colored nastiness will be covered and out of sight when it's done... I promise!

Quoting Justin L. Nice! In another M.O.C. you mentioned something taking up almost all of your collection...is this it?
This is it! I posted a WIP of it on Flickr a while ago but I completely forgot to post it here.

I would have never thought to use train tracks. Interesting design too. I'm curious to see how it will look when finished. Keep it up.

Looks like you're right on, uhm, track! Can't wait to see this thing floating in outer space with a swarm of small fighters around it!

This looks like it'll be great when it's finished. I'm with Moodswim also, the bottom is WAY than the top is at the moment, but it'll probably even out in the end. Good luck with it, and hopefully it'll blow us away when your done with it.

Nice use of the train tracks! This thing should be great when it's finished. I'll be keeping an eye out.

It looks likes a hybrid between an old Cylon Basestar and a Visitor mothership. Or maybe it's a flying pizza pie pan from Mars! All I can say is I can't wait to see this ship once it's finished.

Quoting W. Mark Ooh... looks promising. I really like the greebling around the thrusters on the bottom, and the bridge section. Is there a plan to clean up the rest of the bottom? I'm not sure I like how it looks now with all the exposed plates.
No worries, the entire underbelly will be tiled.
