Engine 1 is a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT 1500 / 700 rescue engine. Equipped with 2 hurst combi tools, one generator pack and 1 mounted into the bumper, the front mounted combi was removed shortly before these photos. also equipped with full rapid intervention ALS equipment, 1x 45mm attackline, 2x110mm Supply, and 2x90mm and 2x45mm rolls.
also equipped with a 60m high pressure hose reel in nearside 3, fitted with a special bracket the hose reel can be spun allowing access from the side or rear of the apparatus, this feature has been less than successful and was not included on the next batch.
Engine 1 was the first delivery of a new batch of rescue pumpers based on the XT chassis, a further 3 are expected to replace Engines 2, 3, and 7 and are improved with the addition of a further preconnect over the pump panel, and an improved hosebed.
