When you get power functions and Black Ops for Christmas, you build a zombie-killing, remote controlled tractor thing. Oh yeah.
About this creation
This is kind of a filler build of sorts, somewhere in the void between finding the time and finding the inspiration to build something better. However, this is my first power functions MOC, and I've learned quite a few techniques from it.
When the Nazi zombies come to town, this baby sends 'em running.
Features include: Remote-controlled acceleration (no steering, maybe next time), headlights, a very large gatling gun, a smaller gatling gun, a grapple gun, and a reinforced grille for splattering the undead. Fun stuff.
Here's my motor, one of two that I got for Christmas. Next to it is the ammo box for the larger machine gun. When test-driving this, the ammo continuously fell out of the crate, especially when it crashed. I got fed up enough to do something about it, and stuck some levers through the chain to hold it in place.
The big gun in all it's glory.
The pilot, who controls the vehicle and the main gun.
The gunner, who shoots stuff.
Grapple gun. Always handy.
One of the lights goes through the grille, giving a really eerie, zombie-killing feel to this, especailly when it's dark. The other goes to the grapple gun.
I am sorry for the poor quality of the video, I took it when I only had a few minutes to spare. It just shows off the power features of the MOC.
Great!! Never really got around to playing Black Ops, but I know a fair share of post-apoc stuff, so I see where you're trying to go. Only one thing; the pilot's head, especially the manga-like exo-force eyes, look a bit out of place with the more natural eye of the gunner. But that's about it.
It's hard to argue with your reasons for building this, and I like the zombie catcher on the front. I'd be a little nervous being the pilot, exposed like that on the side. Kind of reminiscent of the ball turret gunners on B17s.
