Alien Boy and Dan the Man present a 1/10 scale model of the 1958 Nobel 200 microcar.
About this creation
Another two-man creation we'll both write a little bout it...
Dan the Man sez:
I certainly wasn't planning on doing this; and after a year of both the old corvette and this being half-made models going nowhere in the spare bedroom, after finishing the corvette, my brother got motivated to get this one too, so I went along, with a "if I *have* to..." mood whilst playing xbox and getting angry when when my game got too hard through most of it. I did help with some of it though, such as the steering, doors and roof. This one was more of the opposite - me doing about 20% (when I got fed up with my game getting too hard) and my brother doing about 80%.
Alien Boy sez:
Hey, I don't need to say anything my brother done, because he says it himself.
This is a 1958 Nobel 200, built in the UK by York Noble Industries. They are very rare cars, about 75 left. This Lego one is 1/10, it has working steering, opening doors and a nice engine. The real car is 200cc.
This was quite surprisingly easy to make, but there where a few hard and annoying bits like the " Z " trim. It's a shame we couldn't actually put a rear window in, all we could do is leave it blank. The engine was fun to build, and looks quite similar to the real thing, apart from the cylinder cover.
You can see a load of photos to compare on my website http://www.nobel200.com/
Why not check out my MOCs? I made a big corvette with my brother (the old 1958 one).
Quoting Ape Fight
More nice classic style building. Looks great on the outside - however the interior doesn't really match the exterior and could benefit from a fair bit more detail. Good overall though 4/5
Thanks! However, the interior does actually look like the original. You can see the original interior here http://www.nobel200.com/my-dads-nobel.html
I guess I could have added more detail, but there wasn't much more to add, and I'm only 14 years old lol
