Now you can drive a car with the comfort of you living room! Fly down the highway or cruise to the store in a couch! I was inspired to build this car after reading about a couch that broke the world record as the fastest furniture. Although it isn't the safest car on the streets, it can be legally driven on streets but only in California where only working headlights, working taillights and seat belts are needed to pass an inspection.
About this creation
The front of this car features a high quality maple coffee table with decorative tiles and a vase filled with a bunch of refreshing flowers. While you're driving, you can also enjoy a cold bottle of orange soda.
He'res a side view of this car. I don't really know what to do in a thunderstorm since there's no convertible top and while you're driving, wear safety glasses to protect your eyes since there's no windscreen.
Instead of regular car seats, this car features a comfortable black leather couch with a center console in the middle. This car is also missing a trunk but I guess that doesn't matter too much.
Originally, the coffee table was supposed to be maple, but that looked so boring that I decided to give it a twist and I added tiles in the middle.
The back of this car features a license plate, taillights and a bumper. I was going to add an engine sticking out the back but that space was occupied by the rear wheels.
He'res another view of the back.
I usually don't take pictures of the bases of my cars but I wanted to show you how I placed my wheels and the fact that this thing can actually roll.
Awesome job - Andy Saunders, the famous UK custom car builder, built the original one of these which I remember seeing on the road when I was little - I almost couldn't believe it!
