The FELAG's Superior Heavy Assault Mech TITAN MARK V
About this creation
The TITAN MARK V has twin MAG drivers, Twin 35mm Gatlin guns fielded with the FC Raptor MASM, Twin Flack Cannons, and optional dorsal mounted 40mm Anti-Aircraft cannon. Rounding this complement of weapons the TITAN has modular missile banks mounted on each side. Missiles types include: NLOS-LAM, ICBM, SAM, TBM, BRBM, SRBM, MRBM, and AGM. The FC NLOS-LAM project began with the fielding of the FC Juggernaut ECHM. NLOS-LAM is an expendable loitering hunter-killer sensor/weapon. It will be about 60 inches long and weigh less than 120 pounds. LAM is equipped with AI seeker and has automatic target recognition and classification algorithms. Equipped with a micro turbojet engine and large wings, it is designed for missions of up to 3 hour duration, most of the time will be spent loitering over the target area, in a searching pattern, providing continuous target intelligence from a distance of 70 kilometers from the launch point. LAM can be employed as a target-acquirer, and is able to scan, identify, report and isolate all targets encountered throughout its flight path with extreme reliability, thus increasing the unit’s knowledge of the battlefield. And by screening all the imagery on board the monition via the target recognizer, only the relevant data is sent back to the operator. Thus LAM sends back an occasional 'chiplet' of relevant target data information the operator assessment.
The TITAN MARK V seats two, a pilot and weapons specialist. With its hyper environmental systems, the TITAN can perform operations in the vacuum of space. The TITAN’s cockpit technology includes: holographic HUD and 360 degree targeting system.
This particular TITAN MARK V belongs to the FELAG 2ND of the 501ST MHAG, but the TITAN is the primary heavy Assault mech of the FELAG MHAG units.
All SCI-FI aside, this was a several month project and YES, the MAG drivers were inspired by Brians FOUNDATION Class MECH; Shot out to Brian!! Brian, your the man!! I am already working a TITAN MARK VI with Linear Actuators.
And as always, Thanks for LOOKING!!

Wow, VERY nice! Love the parts usage throughout, and the hip and leg design is just fantastic. Certain portions of the mech really remind me of BK's work (which is the standard for all mechs, as far as I'm concerned). If I may be so bold as to offer my opinion here, I wonder if it might help at all to cut back just a touch on the variety of color work throughout and go with more solid coloring? I say this because there are so many intricate forms amidst the whole of the mech, that some of the detail gets lost in the visual busy-ness created by the differing colors. Anyway, probably one of the finest mechs I can recall having seen. GREAT work!

I absolutely love the design. However, the colors kinda throw me. My rule on colors is to go with just four colors (primary, secondary, part, trim). In other words, primary and secondary are the most used colors (as in the grays on your mech), part is the color for weapons and other unique bits (it helps bring them out, black is best used here), and trim is for adding a nice pastel to the creation (like what you tried to do with the red/green/etc). You were a bit indecisive when it comes to the trim. So... as you can tell, the colors really bother me. |

I agree with the guy below me, the color is a bit sloppy and the feet have to be a bit larger, but you head design and leg design is quite nice. |

Outstanding! I note that you use some think like cable to connect between the cannon and the body. Also that two gatlin in the front of the body also looks very cool. The most important thing is it can stand by itself even it is so huge!!! |

Tom, for someone who says he's been building mechs for a short time, your work looks as good as any of the big names around these parts! What I find most impressive is how you can build them so large and yet they can still support their own weight. As far as the age thing goes there's a whole bunch of us old farts, including myself, who find building a fantastic stress reliever after a long day on the job. All I can say is build and post when life permits. That's what I do these days. |

Nicely done. This truly deserves the name of Titan. At first glance it looks like its not even made of lego. There's too many awesome things going on here at once to name them all, but of particular coolness are the use of the rubber bulwarks to give shape to the main cannons. Great job! |
