The Coalition has one more warship to add to it's vast armada- a capital ship. U mad U.N.E?* This is two firsts two firsts for me. One: it's my first Coalition of Planets build, and two: it's my first try at a microscale spacecraft. In other words, be nice. Comment and rate as you wish.
*I guess I'll go and build a U.N.E ship one of these days.
About this creation
Midsection. The transition from a three-sided angled build to a regularly built studs-up structure was a bit difficult. Technic rods can be a pain in the arse sometimes.
Top left is the observation deck, middle is the command, and bottom is... something else that has an important purpose.
"Texas-size gun". I'll just leave it at that.
Hangar. Nothing too special.
Not too sure what this section with the windows is. Odd considering how I was the one who built the damn thing.
Engines, of course. I've amassed quite a few of those blue studs as a result of trips to my local Lego store.
Well, apparently I havnt commented on this, so...
Amazing job! everything really blends and the hanger looks really good. the bridge is my favorite part with it's "fin" and many features.
the gun in the front is amazing, especially with the "guidence" antennae as i like to call them. the greebles on the engines are amazing, etc. Maybe the "windows" section is a large barracks for pilots and troops?
Overall, Stupendous job! You have inspired me to have a go at this. :)
This looked much larger in the thumbnail than in actuality which, by definition according to the experts, means it's fantastic. Lot's of details to love for such a cute little ship. It looks like a SHIP from afar, but yet it's of a mirco-esque scale! It's like a mini-SHIP...or, SHIPette, if you will. Very nice, very nice.
Is that a Shannon Young sighting?! Wow, you must be REAL special to get him out from under his rock! Sweet ship, these guys seem to think that it should be more 'cookie-cutter' to fit the theme, but I'm glad to see you're a leader and not a follower. Great ship, first attempt or not.~H
I've always had a soft spot for triangular warships. This one's no different. I'd have to agree with the "bridge doesn't look like it belongs" comment, though. Think the "antennae" on the front go well with the shape and design; sort of like an extended piece of the gun. Looks good from all angles, so I'd have to agree with Cody G there. A note, though... do you think you've got nearly enough flak turrets on the sides and bridge? Because it looks a little.. I dunno, "underarmed" from what I can see.
Great work! I've always had difficulty building microscale space, but this ship's big enough you can capture all those nifty details. I especially like your hangar... And I would guess that windows are there if only to help keep the crew sane. Great work, again!
For a first attempt at a microscale spacecraft, this is great. Further builds from you along the same lines should be a real treat. I can't help but compare it to Chris Phipson's ship uploaded at about the same time -- http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/246986 -- in that they're roughly the same size, and the same color. On style points, you win hands down. For my personal taste, I think an accent color here and there, some subtle striping perhaps, would really make this ship pop. But maybe it's against the guidelines of the established theme you're building in, I don't know. Nice work.
The transitions from three-sided to studs-up construction look natural and clean, and the details on this are great. I think that some of the lever elements might have looked better with grey lever arms, though.
Awesome! Really sleek design on this with lots of detail. Last time I was at a Lego store, I picked the bricks I wanted, then put a ton of those levers into the cup to fill every last little air pocket. Nice work, Dude!
I like it

Don't know why you needed to ask us to be nice. This is fantastic. It looks bigger on the thumbnail than it really is, but that's a good thing! I still need to figure out how to pull that kind of thing off.
This is spectacular. Congratulations on making the biggest ship in the Coalition! i'm going to assume this is on a smaller scale than the HoT and the SoA, maybe the same size scale as my D-class Frigate? I love the bridge too, but the windows are a little too large and exposed for a COP ship. 5/5
Great work! The main section is very Coalition, but the fact that the Observation and Command have their own unique shape really disrupts the bold, menacing angles of the main section. And the antennas(?) on the front take away from the effect of the MAPD/Texas Gun next to it. And the fins also kind of takes away from the main section, which is supposed to be the focus of the build. I've got too many of the light trans-blue studs for the same reason. :P Anyways, great first try at COP; 4/5! (You might also want to include the fact that its the largest 23rd Themed ship yet at 65!)
Very nice work, you got the grey down alright. However, there's a bit too many windows and glowy bits for my kind of warship. Don't know if you knew it or not, but we don't have any force fields or shields over the hangar, and a window on a ship is like a screen door on a submarine.
